Yeah, I can’t even get excited about it. I lost like 100k during the coronavirus crash. The value of my linkies swings around $20k per day. Sometimes $5k every few minutes (like now while it’s so volatile).
I think even “making it” with $1mil won’t be enough because that would still need to be reinvested to retire early. Do you would still be managing a portfolio or running a business. You’d need probably $10million+ to never worry about money again. Thankfully LINK is going to $1000 so I’m looking forward to that.

80 k is good enough if you have a house paid off. You can literally travel one month out of the year and just work a low stress job to supplement it while half of it in a Roth IRA

Pretty big assumption, seeing as 5 million invested would be $150k/year with a 3% safe withdrawal rate, ya? And you don't have to save any of the $150k, aside from paying tax.
I wouldn't just take $5 million and hold it in cash, that's for sure.
