It's real. It won't do a 10x though. Already billions in MC. Look into KSM and PCX. Both dot projects that can explode in price. Especially PCX.

Avalanche is about to take off. Worth checking out if you believe there is room for more than one smart contracts platform.
Avalanche is technically superior than anything released to date. Ofc, adoption is important but since Avalanche supports Ethereum’s dev tools, this shouldn’t be an issue.

Let me know when Eth gets to shards. Last I heard (VC friends) its 2023. So Polkadot is at least three years ahead technology wise to Ethereum.
The "Eth 2" that got recently released is just a Proof of Stake skeleton model that's not going to be used for actual consensus for a long time.
