I have one son. The goal is to make enough money so that if shit like pic related ever happens to him and he is, for whatever reason, unable to make a reasonable career for himself, he will always have the chance to never work again. Most people would say that spoils a kid, but I really think making my own son wageslave for his life would be cruel.
I'm 24, got to $310,000 so far. What can I do to really grow this fast over the next 18 years?
Crypto, Chainlink, BTC, ETH... This market isn't over inflated like the stonks are now. By crypto, when the collapse comes, use your crypto to buy real estate and stonks maybe. Good on you btw. If the world is somewhat similar when your son turns 18, there is no reason to make him suck shekelsteins dick to live. I really hope I can make it too so when I have kids they don't have to go through this bullshit. Good luck man.

Damn Nigga I'm 27 no wife no kids and have 20 euros on my bank account
Yeeeeeeeee
Good to see people are making it
Chase Wood
Oh wow I forgot the actual pic. This is what I was referring to.
Dont listen to these crypto homos. It has no organic roots and cant be trusted as much as they think. Bitcoin is grass roots, and even that can only be trusted so much

I'm about 1/3 in BTC and ETH, a little over 100k, and about 4/5 of that is BTC. The rest is in defi lending, blockfi, celsius network, and like 40k in index funds. Looking for any other solutions out there.
James Garcia
I didn’t come here to fucking feel god damn it user. Best of luck, invest a little into crypto and put the rest in an index fund or something similar.
Evan Clark
I'm looking to do the same thing user. My current plan is to pursue duplex/triplex rentals. I figure if I buy something today for each child and let the renters pay the mortgage, in 20 years they'll be mostly paid off and I can gift the property to each kid. From there they can either sell for a profit to start them off on strong footing or continue renting it out for their own revenue streams.

In 2017 I traded crypto almost full time, to the point of losing my position as a consultant, and was kind of devastated, but I'd turned $3000 into about $250,000 so I wasn't too upset. 3 years later I've been hired by a better company in the same career somehow but I'm focusing much more on my career and looking for longer plays to sit and let my money grow.

Try stocks instead of random shitcoins with no real-world adoption
Lincoln Long
I like your plan. Only reason I'm hesitant is because I'm kind of afraid of the lack of liquidity in real estate in case something does go very wrong and I'm not fully convinced that something like Blockfi won't give me a better return yet, but I'm considering it.

soon to be father here i think the key is to not just 'do' these things for the kid
do them so you can learn how to do them THEN do them WITH your son the time+experiences you share with him will be worth more than the profits you make together
then party and have good times with your son and celebrate the mutual financial success
Ryder Hernandez
Kind of sad that I work so many long hours now then. I work almost 24/7. But I agree it would be better to teach him to do these things rather than just do them for him. I'll keep that in mind.
Alexander Anderson
That's pretty good
Would you say your success in trading came mostly from the fact you had a college education in the field ?
Jonathan Murphy
No, I got a good break with ETH, ELIX, and 100 other coins but those were the main ones that did it for me. Also I did some interesting arbitrage years ago that turned out to be pretty significant. Apart from knowing what arbitrage is and maybe memorizing books of options strategies, no the education didn't really help. I never actually used Black-Scholes or developed quant models for my private trading. But 2017 was a big bull run so lucky for me I guess.

Keep $100,000 cash, invest the rest in crypto, incoming bullrun (ends on Q1 2021) will do at least x5-x10 to BTC, ETH, LINK, DOT and others, but those are the principals, at least for me.
Jack Morales
I mean, Q1 2022.
Christopher Gutierrez
I think it's Q4 2021 and I'm not sure $100,000 just sitting in cash is a good idea
Kevin Nelson
Ah ok we agree then

Make sure to max out a ROTH IRA every year so you have something to fall back on even if everything implodes. $6k a year from 24 to 65 compounded at 8-10% annually will leave you with like $2.1M at 65. A good safety net and you can pass it down to your son even if crypto or other speculative investments completely blow up.
Thomas Mitchell
Being a spoiled brat is worse than having to work, the end result will most likely be a shallow person who is out of touch with reality and most other people (probably will only hang out with other trust fund kids as petty as himself)
If you're going to invest in crypto just know that it's super risky, whereas a traditional portfolio can get you a 5% return every year, which is slow but way more reliable
Zachary Clark
Fuck women, I wish I could kill every girl with my barehands
Based ELIX bro. I bought that shit during the pnd here and it was actually worth 20k at peak. Guess what? Didn't sold, they're still sitting next to my linkies
We now live in clown world and you'd have to be pants on head retarded to be buying the S&P500 or real estate now. The only safe investments are precious metals and crypto
Brayden Nelson
Wow. I still have an ELIX genesis address. I had a few but held onto one. That thing was worth over $60,000 at the very top. But I didn't sell and now it's worth less than a cent.
I'm actually shocked to find another ELIX holder though still. Now my last genesis address is just a souvenir.

Country? i bet you have sex often
