Something UTZ buyers might want to research / look into - I remember when I was doing research for McDonalds earnings 2 weeks ago I was looking into the price of potatoes to examine their margins, I was surprised to see that the price of potatoes had risen substantially (after seeing a documentary about potatoes being mass dumped during covid I had assumed the price of potatoes was way down)
I could have been looking at incorrect data
but if it was accurate / representational of potato sales, it is going to squeeze UTZ who is more "locked in" to the price they sell their bags at

I'm dumping utz as soon as it hits $25. So I'm not terribly worried about long term outlook.

mike tyson really knew how to punch people

nah, it was /rhg/
robinhood gen

it wasn't nearly as fast back then. we would have maybe a whole thread a day. then crypto died hard one day and we would have 2-3 threads consistently

I can't even keep up with these threads anymore during market hours.

Is that user that was bagholding UVXY kill himself yet? Wise anons told me years ago that holding UVXY over a weekend is crazy, yet that user was holding it like a stock.

I tried yesterday, but they were so fast I could barely post before the bump limit each time.

if not then he's lost a good chunk of money because decay on that is insane.

I'm holding vix 24 calls for days now.. can you pls start a war or something so I can breakeven

I quite like night posting, though guess its morning posting now. Normally I lurk through the day, no point posting with how fast things move.

This board is like a cellphone plan from the early 2000's, best on nights and weekends.

CLFfag plays a roll in that. He posts so much it makes the threads hit the bump limit way too fast.

How stupid would it be to buy GME LEAPS and try to offload then during the shorter holocaust?

Does he shill that hard, I mean it has steady slow growth so far but it's not moon mission but crab risk.

Ooohhh BMRN hit 80 while I was riding on an airplane today, I'm big ups despite gold retesting the low range. Only took 4 friggen months of waiting for gold to get to the buy zone I wanted in August kek
Dag remember how scared we all were? It seems like such a minor calamity in hindsight, all the flaming pumpkin red october posts, all the munchkin phone posting, what a great Christmas
Ya trying to post during market hours these days is like trying to be heard in twitch chat or something. Nightgang is so cozy tho :D

Hopefully he/(You) is fine!
There's just such a high level of super spammy posters now. A lot of the post counts for some of the daytime posters are like 10-20 per ID it's insane. I just browse the archives and night post. These damn zoomers are zoomin

Thanks for the QS tip yesterday yurop user

Yeah, he generally posts at least 20 times a thread. I'm not entirely sure why he is so persistent.

I have been moved

What books are your favorite books about the stock market?

I'm trying to figure out covered calls, help a bro out.

Basically, because of premiums, it's almost always better to sell covered calls instead of closing your position, right? The only time the latter is better is when the stock dramatically falls or raises.

>$10 call with $1 premium is basically the same as selling for $11
>If you collect the premium but the call isn't collected, you essentially lower your buying average by $1.
>The only time you actually lose money is if the stock falls dramatically, you may still have gotten a premium but now you're stuck with a shitstock.
>You don't LOSE money, but you miss out on huge gains if the stock somehow goes up a lot.

Is this right? I'm trying to get into calls so I can MAKE IT, I have a few stocks that aren't moving recently.

Buy ALPP on monday.

Intelligent Investor is an eternal classic, but I've recently read and enjoyed Lords of Finance, and while not exactly about the market, Dalio's Principles is a great read too.

>dumped all my Tesla around $420 just a month ago
God I fucked up

Profit is profit user greed has killed more mother fuckers then when your happy with what you have.

Yeah you got it. Some people shit on selling calls because they are degenerate gamblers who try to 20x their investments overnight, but for normal stocks that you can reasonably predict the movements of, its literally free money.

If the stock falls dramatically you at least get the entirety of the premium. If it rises too much you lose the premium and potentially the stock if they decide to exercise.

What if he sold because of greed? Maybe he thought it cannot get higher.

Why do stock numbers move on a Saturday too? PLTR is up 1,69% and NEL 0,62%.

I have a minimum $500 dollar profit limit then eyeball that shit hard. If I think it can go either way I sell.
Then never look at it again in case it hurts my heart.

Trouble on your estate?
Yes largely, covvies are a blessed instrument. Make sure to check the option chain b4 you enter an underlying for the purposes of selling covered, ones that offer weeklies as opposed to monthlies are obviously more nimble, and if there isn't enough IV or delta you might not get a good enough price for them to justify hamstringing potential upside. Really smol stocks also sometimes have volume issues but that's become less of a problem

>Buying into the closest thing the stock market has to a shitcoin
Dude whatever, that fucking thing is run entirely off of memes. I couldnt sleep at night putting any sizeable wealth into that piece of shit.

Zig Forums is especially terrible tonight

Also bless that user a month back who req’d getting into MSOS for a long play, i’m up like 20% on my stable gains stash, fuck TQQQ

Be glad you're out with profit. It's basically gambling.
To be fair I've sold NIO at 30 so I feel ya

One of the biggest reason I'm pissed at the S&P 500. Why did they have to allow fraudulent TSLA into their ranks. SPY is supposed to be comfy.

Nice first world country you have there
