Yup, some sort of regulation is inevitable. I've been in this game since 2015 and I'm surprised it's taken so long. There will be an initial overreaction, which will be bought up. Things will then meander on for a while before the next leg up.

I did this in tax year 2018. Sold half my ETH just before it hit a thousand. Ended up paying about 40 grand to the tax man that year, but it was worth it to not have to worry. All of this shit is traceable, especially if you used something like Coinbase to start.
