Does anyone here actually -HAVE- a business degree or related?
Accountant [Chartered] of 7 years. The takes I see on this board when it comes to finance hurt my brain

imagine thinking a business related degree makes you smart
I got kicked out of mine for 2 years, finished over 10 years and now im chainlinked retired
What the fuck did I do any of that for.
read over 20 economics textbooks but no formal education. however i can hold in depth conversations with accountants and technical analysts. if i have anything over them it is that i don't hold to any industry dogma; i view things as an outsider.
Not really, i just buy whatever icon i think looks prettiest
what the fuck happened bro; you got kicked out of business for 2 years? why? fraud?
Economics textbooks mean sweet fuck all sorry user. And only 20? I've read at-least 50 books all up on business and I'm a brainlet.
Kek, the classic midwit argument from authority. One of us did a 20x on their initial investment and doesn't work, the other will be working for the next 30 years
this, I would already be a millionaire if I just did what I actually wanted to do out of highschool instead of going to college. I've always wanted to invest since I was 14 and eyeballed crypto but didn't buy until I was 23
user having an education doesn't equate to authority, also my authority derives from understanding and knowledge; not nepotism or oligarchy. I'm where I am because I know what I'm doing.
>Economics textbooks mean sweet fuck all sorry user. And only 20? I've read at-least 50 books all up on business and I'm a brainlet.
If you did an econ degree the material would be mostly pulled from textbooks and papers. So no, it doesn't mean fuck all.
> I've read at-least 50 books.
Good for you. I stopped caring about the dogma a long time ago: all that matters is what works in the real world.Apply the scientific method to your hypothesis and find out what really works.
>I'm a brainlet
I'm not so there you go.
get your CFA or fuck off.
I dropped out of business school because I'm a free spirit and not like the other boys.
Living my best life if you can't handle me at my worst you don't deserve me at my best.
>I'm where I am because I know what I'm doing.
And with takes like that, that’s exactly where you’ll stay.
One does not simply -HAVE- a business degree.
Business degree is for sheep with no ambiton.
The wolf makes his own business.
user I've been consistently promoted over the years. I have no idea why your acting up
nigger, we gamble with speculative money, we don't count beans. Buy red, sell green.
I'm a doctor in leafland.
Got a friend who is a self made millionaire that got me into stocks
Got killed in the markets today. Went from +27% to +7%
NGMI
accountants are fucking monkies pushing buttons into the software that I maintain and support
t.Information Systems grad and current IT Business Analyst
I have a masters in biology if that makes you feel better OP
GED holding crypto millionaire here. OP is a faggot.
GED here, I've made more money than I could have ever done on my own from taking people's advice here.
BBA finance, stats, accounting minor. CFA, Series 7, 63.
Guess what? It's a fucking retarded major.
I did it because I didn't know what else to do. One of the biggest mistakes of my life.
are you me
Yes. Bsc in Economics starting a masters.
I got a minor in econ. But I learned that Keyensian economics is retarded so it's useless.
Yes econ degree and 5 years in big 4 accounting. Its a different world to the mindless drone box ticking accounting job and much more interesting
Unironically the best advice ever.
Hello? Based department? You IT guys are complete cunts but I'm honest here when I say we deserve it.
>bba
rip bro any other area of finance is god tier but that
hope you like reading bullshit for the first 2 years
Hey I make good money and sometimes i make neat graphs :>
Business Administration (Bachelors). Completely worthless, i'm retarded.
I mean I went to a pretty good state school and they have a pretty good record of getting people employed after they graduate from the cohort. So not entirely worthless, educationally I learned minimal, pretty pointless. The only real technical business stuff is a years worth of study. I was mostly doing pointless gen ed classes. Im looking at job paying 80k though soon so not too bad.
Not putting it down, I'm still there and it's nice to work there but damn it is pretty boring
I guess it's your brain type and what you interact with best. For me it's easy as fuck; others find it unbearable.
2 years at hopeium college. I've read a number of trading books, and practiced losing alot of money too.
hey nigger. i studied accounting too. i work in M&A though. i would rather get fucked in the ass by a thorny dildo than be in an audit firm. i'd like to get into fintech themed VC. anyone know good firms in singapore/asia?
BBA and MBA
