IYKYK

doesnt matter because if it is they arent going to blow it on some kid buying drugs online or laundering his 200k kek

if the feds openly come out and say they can't trace something, then I'm lead to believe they can absolutely trace it.

Kek this thread is glowing.
Sage.

Pretty much... you will definitely get on a list and your activities will map whatever they’re interested in though

No it's just a worthless shitcoin that's already reached its ath, and will now just sag down to curio prices.

if it is then why wont coinbase list it?

Same here

The office of naval intelligence helped fund tor, but the feds claim they can't track people on it. I find it difficult to believe the navy would allow tor to be released into the wild if they knew it could be used by the chinks to communicate incognito

If the feds say they cant trace monero then they definitely can

It's the femboy coin.

It's secure against private entities, but to avoid the popo you probably want to run your currency through multiple privacy coins, not just XMR

Its untraceable and the goyment is seething.

No
nigger it's all open source, just go read the fucking code
they even chose a curve that specifically wasn't designed by NIST

why hasnt it been used in any court cases then?

the military funded tor

>blowing your cover just to win a court case

They want it gone, thus the $600k+ bounty for cracking a multi billion dollar project. They're hoping some poorfag will look at it and go "woooooaaaahhh, $600k?! That's a looooooot of moneeeeeyyy! I don't care if the government takes the billions, I get six figures!!!!!!"

Ok. Good point.

no, and if you understood the cryptography behind it you would understand why

>durp we cracked ringct hurp
ok so i guess HTTPS is also backdoored and AES is broken, hope you have nothing encrypted anywhere then

They will blow the cover on Tor only for the highest-profile cases concerning the national security of the US itself.

Same with most of their secret military tech. They will not reveal their power level and show the good stuff unless they absolutely have to.

E.g. afaik they should be in possession of plasma railguns.
>The project's initial success led to it becoming classified, and only a few references to MARAUDER appeared after 1993. No information about the fate of the project has been published after 1995.

nah. the us is good at bombing brown people who live in caves in the desert. the us is NOT good at breaking advanced encryption protocols that have been tested by academics who have no lives outside of testing the security of encryption protocols. it's mostly safe, also TOR is open source, they could only ever run poisoned nodes to attack it

The plasma projectiles would be shot at a speed expected to be 3000 km/s in 1995 and 10,000 km/s (3.3% of the speed of light) by 2000. A shot has the energy of 2,27 kg of TNT exploding. Doughnut-shaped rings of plasma and balls of lightning exploded with devastating thermal and mechanical effects when hitting their target and produced pulse of electromagnetic radiation that could scramble electronics, the energy would shower the interior of the target with high-energy x-rays that would potentially destroy the electronics inside.

>They will not reveal their power level and show the good stuff unless they absolutely have to.
This also means that on TOR the druggies, organized crime and transmission of trade secrets etc. are likely save. They need these users to bait nation state actors into thinking that the tech is good.

This is a cool LARP and all but Monero is a two billion dollar network. With Tor, your incentive as a private individual is maybe being able to see other people's browsing habits idk. With Monero, if you break it's privacy millions of dollars are potentially on the table. That attracts a whole different breed of greedy, people who will constantly analyze it for potential attack vectors because the reward is worth it.

>That attracts a whole different breed of greedy, people who will constantly analyze it for potential attack vectors because the reward is worth it
Luckily they should are smart enough to know the game theory of their attacks.

a lot of people have made plasma rail guns. this is old technology. desu i had a small one once.

If people's Moneros start disappearing, the value of the entire project goes to zero.

Much like Tor the feds likely do have a way to trace it but it's inconvenient, resource intensive, and generally not neccesary.
If the glowies wanted to show you laundering they'd just say "Coinbase says 200k of Monero suddenly appeared in your account, care to explain this". No trace needed and no judge on earth will side when you say "I lost it in a boatng accident"

Smooth brains don't seem to see how such weak fud only makes people who really understand the technology bullish af on monero.
Wait until all the people normies who are going to enter the crypto space realise all their Internet magic beans aren't anonymous and are traceable.
Shit will moon and xmr unironically isn't even a moonboy coin, top 20 mc and people still think of it only as a "pedo coin"
After btc and eth, xmr has the biggest usecase in crypto imo

This thread is full of weak ass FUD, suck my dick glowies

Monero always brings them.
