the main reason it's pumping is that main net is coming up and the dev progress on Ropsten has been exceeding every expectation.
There's a very high likelihood that Cap will become the default degen trading platform that replaces BitMex. You don't need KYC/AML, it can't be shut down and Cap holders get their bags pumped every time a trader on the platform loses money on a trade, which is majority of trades.
It's quite frankly the best thing to happen in DeFi.
