I have been scanning all portfolio threads for a week, and can confirm that we are still early.
I remember back during the previous cycle, most people here were holding (even if just a little). Not many people have caught on to what is been happening for the last 3 weeks yet.
I think Ampleforth is currently sitting within that market cap goldilocks zone, where you really have to be paying attention to notice what's going on. I for one, am excited.
I'm too scared to invest in this. I will get a bag though if I get some realistic targets on what people think the MC will be at the end of this cycle and why you think that. Feel free to use reasons such as because Balancer and because cross chain integration and because muh high liquidity in comparison to last time, but I don't understand what any of that means exactly. I'm sure alot of newbies are in the same position as me so you'll probably be reaching quite a few potential buyers if you sell this right...

The price isn't the focus user. With that being said, I'm not buying these HEAVY, EXPIRED bags from these shills

In my humble opinion there are a few reasons why I think this belongs in the top 10 in terms capitalization.
I'll give you two, a very practical one - and one that indicates how feasible and valid some of the more idealistic economic ideas in the foundation of this are.
1) There are so many incentive programs around this currency now (I have sort of lost track), and they just keep on coming. To me, it's a very clear sign, that the people who are developing this space, are excited by AMPL - and are eager to integrate it into their platforms and blockchains. A very good signal. This will keep AMPL from ever going to zero, since the APY on these programmes would drastically increase if the market cap deflates.
2) I won't get too technical with you, but this protocol is one of the first real innovations in this space since Vitalik created Ethereum. Vitalik was even talking about how he sees the ideal base money model in this space (on the Lex Fridman podcast). He described a currency, which had its volatility shifted from its price, into its supply. This is Ampleforth. A base currency, that adjusts its supply dynamically, based on the demand for it.
And it is also the only non-deflationary take on a base money that is not backed by the Dollar in any way, as far as I know (at least at a higher market cap).
It couldn't be more of an idealistic cryptocurrency, but it is also painfully elegant and conceptually simple/uncluttered.
Target MC? I have no idea. But no one knew what AMPL REALLY was during the last cycle. To most, it was just a money printer. Now the infrastructure is starting to exist (incentive programmes) and now, people are also starting to grasp the economic model. My best guess is, that it will be going higher this time.
Thanks for taking the time to write that. It does sound very very tempting. Do you personally feel that $1bil is somewhat achievable?
Nathaniel Brooks
It's inevitable.

AMPL is a good way to lose money.

I'd like to add that potential laws that would hinder traditional stablecoins would have no effect on AMPL, because it's a decentralized pseudo-stablecoin that requires no human intervention to function.
Jackson Myers
AMPL completely fails as a stablecoin and most people lose money in the long run. Only reason some people didn't lose big this year was the big spike to $3.50
Otherwise negative rebases gonna fuck you
Kayden Hernandez
Yep. This summer was the time for AMPL, it's unironically time to move on fellas. So much going on, kind of retarded to be stuck on this bullshit. Please stop making threads.
Joseph Howard
Ampleforth is not a stablecoin. It will be a somewhat stable currency when it finds its supply/demand equilibrium - which is the end-goal of this protocol.
I've also noticed something else really interesting and quite bullish about Ampleforth. The protocols that have copied Ampleforth's rebasing property create threads on Zig Forums shilling their token, in those threads I very rarely see Ampleforth holders going into that thread to shill Ampleforth or fud the token for which the thread was created for. I ALWAYS see it happen in Ampleforth threads though. Makes you think...
Levi Murphy
kek I made money with AMPL but it's over man, hype is gone. These threads are depressing
Benjamin Jenkins
I've about 799 of the tokens, I've absolutely no idea when to sell. Can someone spoonfeed me pls, I'll unironically suduko if have to go through another neg rebase period

>The protocols that have copied Ampleforth's rebasing property create threads on Zig Forums shilling their token, in those threads I very rarely see Ampleforth holders going into that thread to shill Ampleforth or fud the token for which the thread was created for That's because those coins existed after the success (and downfall) of Ampleforth. Everyone used their AMPL gains to buy new shit. The majority of people moved on
Ethan Flores
No one can tell you this. Trust your gut. You can also stake, if you prefer a lower risk profile.

For anyone interested, here is Vitalik describing what I am talking about here , by the way: youtu.be/3x1b_S6Qp2Q?t=4724
apparently the balancer thing is supposed to keep it from failing this go around

>neg rebase period. You won't have to if you just check it every day before the rebase. It's okay, though. The price keeps climbing despite rebases and we won't see negative ones for a long time.
>i trust ampleinstein personally the same guy who told people to put their AMPL in to the (((goyser))) at 10M cap, resulting in anons getting cucked out of rebase gains when it pumped to 600M?
