Was looking to buy l.Iit due to the merger but the information is sparse. Any info I see is vague but it seems they intend to heavily dilute the shares at merger by 100 times the current amount. The math I did do suggests that after the merger the stock would be under $4 a share simply due to how heavily diluted it will be in comparison to other stocks in similar fields. Meaning the current price is a massive rip off.
Does anyone here have any information on this?

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to invest in Palantir. The company is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of coding and hacking most of the tech and their applications will go over a typical investors head. There's also societies nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into a dystopian high tech future- this philosophy draws heavily from Orwellian literature, for instance. The PLTR investor understands this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of this company, to realize that they're not just a company- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike PLTR ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the inclination in what PLTR CEO said, "We believe in augmenting human intelligence, not replacing it." which itself is a cryptic reference to Huxleys magnum opus Brave New World. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Alexander Karp's genius wit unfolds itself on their brokerage sites. What fools.. how I pity them.

Wall Street can't stand buy-and-hold strategies because brokers need trading activity to make money. Everyone is a long-term investor until the market goes down. Nobody owns a crystal ball which tells them what stocks are going to do next week. Buy at low cost, over an investing lifetime, an allocation of 60% broad-market Vanguard index fund and 40% broad bond-market index funds and stay the course so you sleep well at night. If you're determined to succeed at investing, make it your first priority to become a buy-and-hold investor. Simple buy-and-hold index investing is one of the best, most efficient ways to grow your money to the ultimate goal of financial freedom. Once you understand that monitoring the markets is harmful to your long-term returns, a whole new world of opportunities will await you. Don't trade in and out of funds. Stay invested. Not only does buy-and-hold investing offer better returns, but it's also less work.
