The devs raising the vesting length shows that they plan on the long term of the project. With the mainstream adoption of crypto being shown by the US, having a way to put traditional API's onto the blockchain is massive. All legacy systems that want to transact on blockchain need someway of getting onto it. API3 will make that possible.
