Its funny back in 2005 through to whenever wrath of the lich king was released I botted 4 accounts in runescape and sold the gold to pay for multiple wow accounts their subscriptions nad the expansions. I was a kid and it was all on paypal so I didn't do anything else with the money really and I made so much gold botting I got scammed probably 75% of the time. It was a real pain in the ass to sell gold back then you had to do some stupid shit with buying tokkul and selling onyx gems or some shit like that I don't even remember. Got scammed for hundreds of mills but all I needed was the $45 to pay for me and two friends wow subscriptions lol. It became better when I started selling starting PKing pure accounts. I got more serious about not being scammed. Good times botting Runescape while playing WOW through middle and highschool.

You could get members and easily do barrows runs that pay for themself and are easy as fuck for a solid amount depending on rare drops but also just selling the blood runes etc. like 4-6 runs an hour depending on luck and eventually at max stats like 10-15 runs an hour double the profit. Make a good 300k-700k depending on rare drops with those stats i would guess. 1 million gp is like .62c USD right now. So you could be making around .30c an hour right now easy.

1mil of osrs gold is currently about .50-.70 cents, and even now the current economic status is diving hard at an all time low for in-game items and an all time high for membership bonds which allow you to play for free in exchange for runescape gold. runescape 3 gold is massively inflated as well since the economy there has been decimated with power creep and high value drops focused around combat. if you theoretically were able to trade osrs gold for bitcoin, you would either have to live in venezuela where people ACTIVELY play the game as a living (yes people seriously do this, there are just as much venezuelans as there are bots in this game) or you would have to run 20 bot clients SIMULTANEOUSLY in order to make a miniscule profit

there are automatic barrows bots which are pretty much on 24/7 at times, you can even find some of them on the high scores list at the top ranks. they make about 1m just from a single client an hour
All the real money in the game is in the gambling at the duel arena. You don't even have to worry about getting banned at a high level. The gamblers pay a sum to rent an account for a few hours and then another sum to have a few billion gp given to said account. These max combat stat accounts are botted en masse in the nightmare zone it takes like a week or two straight or something to max mellee combat stats. Apparently runescape gambling is really big in the American prison system as they can keep their winnings private in the game private from the facilities and it just takes 1 prisoner to have a smuggled in smartphone and they can all pay him a bit to get some time in on gambling. And they are all degenerate gamblers so. What other gambling can you and another guy go in for $10,000 on a coin flip?
I am poor in the scheme of things but I wouldn't risk it unless you've already reached max combats and actually trying to scam people at the sand casino. I've made half my bank from staking but it's legit just luck.
