Hey all free speech lovers. I can't sleep so i wrote up my thoughts over the last few months. What i am proposing has the possibility to topple internet censorship, giving people the ability to share ideas globally without government censorship or censorship from the platform they post on. Please share this with as many people as you can. We need to restore free speech to the world. Being on Zig Forums this is one of the lasts places on the internet immune from censorship so i hope you guys appreciate what this could mean. A decentralized Zig Forums may be possible!!!. The feds would never be able to shut us down. Ever.

Paid shills exist everywhere on the internet right now and reddit, and facebook and everywhere. This removes algorithmic bias from those paid shills getting more view time than others. This would give equal weighting to everyone without favoring one political ideology over others.

The beauty of such a network means that if the feds try to spamm the network it would pay the server owners lots of fees, incentivizing them to grow the network only making it stronger

Not sure what the target here is, I might be understanding it wrong - this tends to the audience that already uses Zig Forums and unmoderated platforms, but for the average user (which is the large majority of the internet) they definitely aren’t going to be keen on delving into the toxic wasteland of unmoderated content and the inevitable “bad side” that comes with it

True, it would have some parts that are toxic wastlands but this can be avoided, by people being able to form anonymous threads. like hidden subreddits where people can talk about their own content. It would serve a way to hide parts of the network from each other unless they know the location on the network of the thread they are trying to shill on. Its not perfect but im hoping some smart Mfs can come up with ways to reduce this behavior.

Think about it like this. If you share the location on the network like a bitcoin public key to individuals irl then only people that know that public key will be able to post there as it would be hidden from all others.

the truth is this type of free-speech advocacy and a willingness to pay to publish messages is extremely niche and probably wouldn't work out the way you imagine. the existing free platforms are sufficient for almost everyone as long as they're not flat out inciting violence, engaging in hate speech or other stuff like that. even that sort of speech can be sanitized to be acceptable while conveying the same ideas though. there's just not enough people that care about these things the same way you do to form a self sustaining ecosystem imo. best of luck though if you try to seriously pursue it.

Thanks for the feedback user. I don't know what the interest will be in such a system. Current anonymous forums and decentralized systems have trouble growing past their niche audience. Im hoping the mix of blockchain decentralization provides will provide a financial incentive for people that would otherwise not care to contribute.

It is a decent idea. I like that it gives the currency an inherent value as it is used to store data.
Personally i think a better idea is to use the proof of wirk function to do actual work. Such as a decentralized AI. In such a system you could force miners to do some small portion of AI work that must be incorporated into the nonce, or some other portion of the proof of work function. You could then have people pay in said coin to to have their desired work done on the decentralized AI network. You would similarly need a data storage function as well as a way to incorporate new AI functionality or differing types of NN builds. Again data storage and provision of new algorithms could be incentivized with the coin that this network is built on.
I think chans are the perfect way to build such a network and you jump it off by having the initial network function be akin to tay but a version that just shitposts on Zig Forums.
Obviously i, like you, lack the programming skill yo bting a lroject like this to fruition and as a result have been sitting on thus idea for like 5yrs.
But here it is now in the open. Take for free if you do desire. Just you better fucking spam that shit on Zig Forums if any if (yous) take this so i can jump in and mine before normie fags learn about it.
