my idea of making it is never having to be a wage slave. i live in central/eastern europe and the average annual salary here is like 12k EUR. with defi you can get 8-15% yield yearly and with 500k-1M EUR that would be 50-100k EUR yearly which would let me live my life in freedom instead of being forced to sell my work for peanuts for mr. shekelstein

also for my thoughts on your plan, i wouldn't really suggest to you to go to western europe, at least not permanently, it's degenerating in a very similar way to the US and I don't think it's gonna be a very good place to live in the near future. still better than the US though, but i would advise you to check out some eastern EU countries
