Daily reminder that oil went literally below $0, so it will do your digital oil token

wait a few more hours for Gilles to wake up, he'll burn a few tokens to get it back to $1.000

kek forgot about that

On the real, friendly reminder that the US legal opinion is dropping THIS month, which is leading up to the kickoff of the legally compliant enterprise marketplace, which is the best usecase of blockchain for enterprise ever conceived, much less actually put into action, much less actually made compliant with regulators.
The enterprise marketplace has been endorsed by Intel, Entrepenuer, iExec has been working closely with Google, IBM, Nvidia, the EU, the Cloud Computing Consortium, Hyperledger Avalon, EEA, and openSSF. All these partners and collaborators know what's about to happen.
If you can't see it, and you can't see through the fud, you just aren't cut out to make it. Not like us.
Gilles and Victor, truthfully, have made it painfully clear what to expect, without revealing too much.
Nsmdo
Strap in boys.

Thank you Raj for doing the needful. Our villages will soon shit on streets paved with gold.

Sauce?

Pic related with timestamp.
They're pretty much screaming it at us.
Enterprise is interested, but they can't join without full compliance.
Hence all the effort put in with the AMF approval and US legal opinion, and introduction of eRLC.
Highly advise checking out the AMF approval information document. Lot of good information in there.
(And yes, somehow, they mentioned Pfizer days before news broke of the vaccine)

When the FUCK is that legal decision being made?

Don’t worry user that’s a comfy stack

Well, the AMF visa is already acquired, which at the VERY least, allows for the onboarding of the Ontochain projects, which are being funded directly by the EU. And the EU delegated authority over the project and its funding, to iExec.
At the very least, prominent European companies will be joining. Pretty sure the US legal opinion is a writeup directed to American enterprise that fully lays out the risks, compliance, etc, but given that it's AMF regulated I think the decision will be clear: greenlight.

Brainlet here, is there a difference between eRLC and RLC?

It's simply a wrapped RLC with a permanent 1:1 value.
You buy RLC, place it in escrow, and are issued eRLC.
I expect this process will be extremely streamlined in the future based off what they were able to do with Uniswap.
I expect people/companies will be able to buy eRLC with fiat with one click, the rest is handled on the backend.
From here, the iExec sidechain has no gas fees and effectively scales the marketplace, on Ethereum.
It will be the premier global marketplace for a wide variety of purposes. Applications, datasets (including artificial intelligence), and computing resources. From all over the world. In one place.

Thank you, Chad

Sure, let me know if you have any more questions. Fud is good but it's also good to enlighten people every once inawhile. After all, I was trained by Methanon himself, so I can't help it.

Based. Comfy post fren. Not all in because I still have substantial amount of link, but I’ve got enough barrels two mind upload to the cloud twice :)

You're the best person I have ever talked to on here. Also I would like to hear your opinions on RLC if you could, like general thoughts and do you think it will go big. I already bought a few barrels but would love to hear what you have to say.

I love You Big brain user.

there are two scenarios
1.) no adoption, or such little that it craters and crabs for another 4-5 years until crypto is destroyed as we know it
2.) it gets adoption and explodes, since the megahype phase of crypto is over and utility is now needed, this is providing one of the best use cases imagined for a decentralized platform
$10 is literal FUD. at LINKs market cap we are talking $40 per barrel, and that's still hype phase

Why would it quickly gain adoption? What's the benefit for enterprise to adopt RLC?

iExec will be many things.
The compute layer for Ethereum, which is huge alone.
But more importantly, a layer of interoperability across the entire world. IoT, Fog computing, HPC, datasets, seperate infrastructures from centralized providers, all accessible by a common interface. Decentralization lets the entire world and huge centralized providers and technologies, interact with eachother seamlessly. For smart cities to work, they will need iExec. For internet of things to work, it needs iExec. All companies will also benefit from the privacy preserving environment of the marketplace, due to TEE and SGX integrated oracles. So interoperability and data sharing between big tech will skyrocket.
AWS already sees the need for this, which is why they've been huge on hybrid cloud lately. But it doesn't come close to the power that decentralization, cost-effectiveness, and blockchain offers.
iExec will be a massive global supercomputer that never needs to spin up; it will just always be there. Consumers can perfectly customize a computing interface that meets their needs. A wide range of technologies and capabilities from all over the world, without vendor lock in.
So I see that happening, and I also see it becoming the "Amazon.com" of Artificial Intelligence. Companies will be able to conserve computing power to focus on development of AI, and be able to monetize their trained models and datasets and offer them to the whole world.
I think 5 years from now iExec will be a household name. Devices will all be interconnected and lack native processing power; it will all come from providers on iExec, and the entire world will be able to freely develop and exchange AI datasets, leading to a burst of development in that space. IExec could very well become the tool that leads to the singularity. They already have GPU and HPC integration, meaning Nvidia will love it, and I can see quantum computers eventually being connected as well.
I think it's world changing.
