Move to portugal?

It seams that taxation on crypto in portgual is free.

Could someone help me to figure out how this would work for foreigners?

Planned living for a year there. I might get a job there but might not, just living.

How is the health care? Is it public? How much does it cost on monthly basis?

What papers should one get to be eligable for free crypto tax?
One has to work there also?

Any info would be great frens.

I am only seeking infos, not close to make the jump yet :(

Are you a citizen of the EU? If not, how do you intend to become a resident?

fuck off

poortugal

If you want tax residency, you will have to get a job or at least have some way of making Portuguese income. You can't just turn up and get tax residency straight away. Your home country will also pursue you until you can demonstrate that you're settled and earning in Portugal and no longer have any economic ties to your previous place of residence.

yes

They sell passports for a 260k investment in real estate

is there english speaking jobs? I have a degree in computer science, but might not want to be in that field.

I have no resistence to take some "low level" jobs like cleaning or stuff.

i think thats not gonna happen for me.

In case the tax exceeds in my country the living costs of living/working in portgual for a year, than i would go there, even if the tax would be equal i would consider it for the nicer environment (sea...)

If you are a EU citizen you have the legitimate opportunity to become a tax resident. Otherwise you would need to invest or buy realestate etc. to obtain residency. Even then, if you are a US citizen, they will still tax you on top of whatever country you live in taxes you if your income is above a certain amount.

As to residency as a EU citizen, I assume you would need to work or reside in Portugal for a certain amount of time but I do not have specifics.

Where are you from?

This

If you live there, i think it would be a good idea to welcom people for living there for a period of time for freeing up crypto tax, as they would bring there money to spend it, which is good for the local/portugese envrionment.

Tech recruiter. Located in Berlin but worked in Portugal before. Drop a message for some advice

I think you need to be 6 months + 1 day during the year in Portugal to make it work.

The plan looks good, but need opinions of people who made it.

>Move to socialist country

I have no problem living in "poor" environment. They might not have the most developed economy and infrastructure but it is a nice looking country.

Is me

from eu, the concrete country i dont feel confident to share

I assume the infrastructure in your country is of higher quality. this is because people pay taxes. pay your taxes.

thanks, currently this thing lives on an idea level, i am no near to be able to afford the jump (need crypto to rise like 10x-ish)

According to a 5 second jewgle search it's 500k Euros and 400k in rural areas and after maintaining it for 5 years you can become a citizen.
Portugal is probably a fun place to live if you have money, awful language though and I have no desire to learn it.

Thats easy. Portugal have great weather, good food, wines and weed. You can go surf everyday.
Girls there are not top trier and man to women ratio is like 3:1.

not really, i compared the infrastructure to usa.
if this is a legal thing, that would make me want to go this way, as living in portugal for a year would also mean a great adventure for me. Really like the natural environemt

>male to female ratio is 3:1
wut

If it is Scandinavia then don't even bother, almost impossible to get rid of your tax residence there.

I guess socializing would come later, it would take at least 6 month to learn language there to be able to speak "kitchen" language. And it is still far from entertaining :D

It's 183 days faggot

i plan to stay there for a year, so it wouldnt be a problem.

What are some jobs that can be occupied with only english?

Is it hard to find one?

I would imagine people who are planning their residence by tax code aren't 'working' in the traditional sense.

There are, I applied for tech jobs there (while not living there) and got multiple video interviews. Didn't end up moving there though.

From what I know from friends who came from abroad those are almost always very shitty paid IT or customer service jobs
Better get a tax number and then work as a freelancer for a foreign company
