You're close. There is a bottom line as far as how inexpensive a meal (cost-of-living) can get depending on all other parts of the system. Once there are people who can't afford to eat, we're unironically doing it wrong. Also, suggesting those people are somehow exclusively to blame for their own problems is typical elitist nonsense. Populations being too shortsighted to understand the unsustainability of unfettered capitalism is an unfortunate sign of a collective mental deficit that has been preyed upon for decades.
