Its not late. It launched at the start of the bear market then had to wait while BTC ran up near ATH. Its actually a better spot to get in now than the launch.

You have to understand that it is time-averaged over 24h, so the rebase yesterday was meh because itwas under the peg for most of the day. If it stays at something like $2 for the day now, you can expect a 300% rebase.
