i had that mentality since late 2018 when the mini crash happened and I was cash for almost all of 2019 until March happened that was retarded as fuck and I basically lost out on a year of gains. I could have just kept staying in the market and a trailing stop would have long saved my ass (heck it might even hit my breakeven) since im a retail trader with low capital so I can just sell off my entire portfolio instantly. Heck I didn't even buy back into the market until May since March/April still looked like it might trend back downwards
not doing that shit anymore, there are ways to have an exit strategy to pull out if a crash is really going to happen

replying to user from last thread.. avepoint is too closed off ecosystem wise. canoo hit it big with the skateboard concept +working prototypes and reliable engineers with prev experience. subscription EV approach was the cherry on top. good spacs right now are:
>HCAC >LGVW >TRNE >SRAC >PTAC
ranked from most to least bullish. im only in the top two since i got in @12 on both and dont want to spread thin, my old #2 used to be GMHI (LAZR) for me and that mooned to the heavens.
i spent all weekend researching these boys and reading docs so do the needful
Should I set some stop loss orders a few dozen points below the current positions on my stocks (My portfolio is all MRNA, CRSP, and TSLA)?
Jeremiah Morgan
Pull out of both and put it in ARCT.

The correct move is to sell PLTR and buy after the dip again.

i start with spactrack.net and then branch into whatever looks interesting. note the CEOs with previous experiences, sectors and any names of note and then continue monitoring any news on your picks
easy-mode just watch SPACs shilled here but make sure to at least see their proposed merger company (since they usually get memed after its announced)
...are (yous) truly so valuable.. or is it a psyop to remind people to hate redditfags? or perhaps some shitty forced meme?

I've used it. They really find unique ways to get people to gamble money. I would definitely think it's going up in value.

personally i do trailing stops -15% if i really dont want to babysit something, on stable shit, it'll only ever hit when shit hits the fan. On volatile shit, it may as well be a limit sell. I don't have stop losses right now on GME for example
usually you should set stop losses just under support (e.g. under some moving average on the daily) because when it breaks it will probably keep going down, algos/people who follow TA see that it failed to bounce off moving average and proceed to take profits too etc etc a self fulfilling prophecy

really? A long hold then?

i made 5 dollars on an option today. this is good yes?

So for GME earnings, if IV crush will happen no matter what, but you still strongly believe in the possibility of suprise news etc, the smart move would be to move from calls into shares, as the shares will not experience IV crush, still allow you to partake in fun white swan news, and if the stock price goes down, calls etc will drop much more than shares due to leverage. Thinking about moving my $4000 in JAN 18C and 20C into shares tomorrow.
