Absolute kino schizo posting
What's wrong with that man on the left? His mouth makes me uncomfy...
That IS fucking uncanny! Nice catch
surely this is dependant on new money coming in to sustain the positive rebases?
What could you reply to that thread for making more people wanting to invest on that coin, except "the market cap is low" argument ?
Yep, which is pretty unlikely.
I'm rooting for xBTC gains short term cuz I'm in it, but long term it has no usecase at all except making people money before it collapses. Just like AMPL and honestly a ton of other crypto.
+ The xBTC could have more usecases in the future ?
That thread is really stupid because it goes to say these rebase tokens are scams but AMPL is not, which is just false. They are all the equal amount of scams or not scams depending on how you see it.
They aren't scams per se, until they get rug-pulled or otherwise devalued unfairly, but all similar crypto assets have no fucking use-case.
He got one thing right tho, rebases are a gimmick. They have no real utility other than the fact that they will make it seem like the price of the tokens are stable to "fool" people that don't know better or know what a market cap is.
Where do you think the cap will head short term?
I have no clue honestly. Probably not higher than BASE's peak at 90mil since that's the "audience" we're dealing with.
It might be over already if the hype dies down, but if we keep it up we could shoot to 30mil for sure. 10x right there. No one knows but let's hope.
It is a good argument, why do you keep denying that? With BASE and AMPL being almost the same thing as xBTC but 10x and 100x times the market cap there is absolutely no reason why xBTC could not grow aswell. Especially knowing that just a week or so ago BASE was at the same level as xBTC is now.
>They are all the equal amount of scams or not scams depending on how you see it.
Exactly this, singling out AMPL just makes OP look like he’d deliberarely fudding the smaller projects. There is now difference between AMPL and the rest, the peg is just another number (that doesn’t matter as the OP is saying too)
I don't see any hype for XBTC. Maybe people got burnt on BASE and they're staying away from rebase tokens
not more or less hype than the last mooncoins
I unironically farted when reading your post, I am still smell it. mmmmmmmmmmm
Poo in loo poo in loo loo pin poo
Some crypto YouTuber just Shiller base to his 200k followers.
>It is a good argument,
By that logic you could go endlessly down the shitcoin rabbit hole, expecting each one to surpass the previous.
> singling out AMPL just makes OP look like he’d deliberarely fudding the smaller projects
AMPL has utility, the rest don't. The only condition is that mcap remains stable. I admit, that's a big questionmark if that ever happens. But xbtc and base wouldn't work even then. That was always my point.
Yeah, Devs probably paid him too to save their project from dying. Not very uncommon.
>AMPL has utility
Like what? Hit me with it's most prominent use case and why it solves that problem better than all of the previous attempts.
>AMPL has utility
It has just as much as BASE or xBTC and if you disagree you're not as smart as you think.
>By that logic you could go endlessly down the shitcoin rabbit hole
>has public and transparent team
There, hole blocked.
Being a currency.
It beats stablecoins because it's decentralized and automated. I repeat, for that mcap must remain stable. So it can only happen once its reach is immense. Like mainstream immense, meaning what, 1000 or 10000%? Yeah feel free to not want to speculate if that ever happens. Something else may come in between before that as well, eg some competitor.
But xBTC and BASE were never meant to serve as currency. With their peg at indexes, they cannot do so by definition. Nobody will denominate prices in % of mcap (if mcap remains stable). They were meant as investment funds. xBTC is supposed to hedge against the fall of BTCD but it doesn't serve that function in the slightest. You will not gain any value regardless what BTCD does. Same goes for BASE and MCM.
The value gained from AMPL is simply the belief that its potential for eventually becoming a currency is going to catapult its mcap into levels able to support such a function. Until then it's purely a speculative asset.
>MCM
Sry meant CMC* (cryptocurrency marketcap)
I don't want you to compare it only to xBTC and rebases, but "classic" crypto like Nano, BTC, LTC etc.
It's always been the sentiment that once an asset reaches a high enough MC it becomes less volatile. Today we have fast and decentralized chains that are not rebased, why are those worse alternative as currencies? They are certainly less confusing, they behave like currencies always has.
Also it's weird to have a peg to the dollar, why is that relevant? The dollar could collapse completely, what does that mean for AMPL? Won't it be dragged down with it unlike other unrelated assets? I know the same dilemma is with BTC, we measure it in dollar, but at least it's valuation mechanism is not dependent on the dollar like AMPL.
The way I see it, AMPL and other "classic" crypto assets (that have a capped supply) that are trying to be currencies have the same set of problems from different angles. Their valuation model is the same but regulated in different parameters and since AMPL has a delay for rebases, it has an extra point of failure or a point which people can exploit.
when will the next rebase happen?
Just shy of 10 hours
dash.xbtc.fi
To add to my sentiment, I've never thought AMPL is bad and that's not what I'm trying to say.
I just don't see what makes it so wowow and different in reality compared to previous coins that wanted to be currencies.
noice
