MAUI HAWAII

I am thinking of buying a farm in Maui, Hawaii and growing all my own food. Besides the natives hating on me for being a haole, is this a good idea?

>is living in the country and growing all my own food in maui hawaii a good move to make
>why shouldn't I move to maui seems incredibly based

The land is pretty shit for agriculture, user. Plus they get hit by storms with decent regularity, and someday a lava flow might ruin your garden. If you want to farm, the Mississippi basin is where it's at. If you just want to live in tropical paradise and don't mind the high COL from having to ship in food, yeah it's okay. I prefer big island myself.

I've heard some bad things about police corruption in Hawaii (think 3rd world country style), not sure if it's only on a few of the islands but it's another thing you may want to look into before aping in

>Mississippi

No way in hell will I ever touch that hellhold. How is maui shit for agriculture? It is literally tropical, the perfect conditions for growing almost anything you want.
Mississippi is for literal brainlets, poor people, racecars, lizard people and overall one of the most fucked states I've ever visited. I visited it last year. Holy fuck. If a foreigner visits the united states for the first time and lands in Mississippi as their first American experience, I could only imagine that they would see america as t he stupidest, most backwards retarded place ever.

Any more info on this?

Sorry, I'm not going to spoonfeed a geographical brainlet and overall illiterate who didn't read my post.

imagine thinking about farming but not knowing jackshit about it and being a fucking autist

You would have to set up in East Maui, it's hard to get back and forth from the commercial center around Kahului, but the land is better and cheaper. If you are going to do livestock, you'll have to raise the feed locally.

Lava is only a problem on the south side of the Big Island.

Sorry I didn't really read at all. Can you give me the scoop on the big island? What's better about life there? Isnt the crime bad?

What about gang violence against haoles? What about native on foreigner violence?

you want to know about the violence or anything else about Maui or any other place in the world? then listen to this real fucking good; don't ever give much attention to things that the retards on this site say.

these bait threads get so fucking old

Not a whole lot of violence out there, more of a social ostracism. The native Hawaiians definitely don't want blacks around though. That said, security system sales are robust, this isn't frigging Ohio. Get a couple of guard dogs.

There is a lot to hate about Hawaii. Island life is expensive and not easy. Maui and Oahu are actually pretty comfy, because there is a constant flow of mainlanders (OK not in 2020). Honolulu is very military, reminds me of a little San Diego. The Big Island is the least friendly.

Get used to seeing Asians and Hawaiians, Whites are a minority.

Fuck. My girlfriend is black. Will they hate on my black girlfriend super hard? Why do the natives hate blacks so much? Will she get beat up or hated on?
What are the worst places in Maui to be in? Places to avoid?

So basically violence isnt an issue unless you are a dick or?

>My girlfriend is black.

Lol

There is no substitute for going there and looking for yourself. Stay in Kihei, and travel around. You can get anywhere in the island in about 4-5 hours. You will recognize the shitty parts of Kahului and La Haina when you see them. Just take a GPS, all the streets have Hawaiian names that confuse the fuck out of visitors.

Regular storms make farming regular staples impossible to do. One hard storm, boom, you’re entire crop gone.

my parents bought land in hawaii for 50,000 USD. Now, it’s completely worthless. Lava can completely ruin any land development at any point in time.

Cant a greenhouse solve this for things like greens? Beyond that I just want to grow fruit trees. Do fruit trees get wiped out by storms? I was planning on buying out a farm from someone.

Pro tip dont buy land where the lava flows

More clueless mainlanders. The lava flow zones are published on maps, and real estate agents are required by law to disclose it.

This problem is in and around Mauna Loa and Kilauea, not even on the other islands.

Thanks for the info user. What places in all the islands do you think would be the best to set up a fruit farm as a haole? Is Maui actually a good choice or are the other islands better for white haole farmers?

Also is it actually possible to earn the natives and locals trust? Is it possible to learn their ways and learn the true spirit of hawaii? I was thinking of possibly paying off some mortgages of some natives to earn their trust.
Is it possible to actually be accepted and protected by the natives with enough work? I am a spiritual person and want to learn their ways through blood sweat and tears. Is this even possible or is it a haole fantasy of mine?

>I was thinking of possibly paying off some mortgages of some natives to earn their trust.
NEVER do anything like this. Excessive gifts get respect from no one. At best it makes them uncomfortable, because they owe you for it, at worst they'll see you as a soft touch and try to extract more wealth from you.

You will never fit in, even more so with your nika gf.

You may make quick friends by dropping a load of cash but that conditional love will dry up quickly once the money flow stops. At best you may make a few close friends but forget any idea of going native amongst the noble savages. Frankly, once you get exposed to them, they aren't even that likeable.

Maui or Kauai. There are shit loads of farms all around the island of Kauai. In Maui, a lot of farming is done on the western slope of Haleakala. You could farm out in the jungles of Northeastern Maui but enjoy your shitty fucking commute to and from civilization on the only road around the island that is packed to the brim with slow driving Haoles that drive the locals ape shit

There are so many microclimates and quick elevation changes, its not really possible to say yeah go here or there. But I can say Oahu and Maui are probably the worst because of how expensive it is.

Dude, you should go to Hawaii first before you start talking about living there.

Bro I am rich in many ways and am sick of the cuckolded state I'm living in. But I get what you are saying.i am ready for change. A new chapter.

So basically where does this put me as a rich white man with a black girlfriend? Will I be able to enjoy maui if I dust off the hate from the locals?

>haole
Stop calling yourself by a foreigner's term for you. It makes me sick, like those 'men' who call themselves a 'white BOY' as opposed to a 'black MAN'.

If you're rich it won't matter. You'll hang out with other rich Haoles at their vineyards. Just go there and talk to other rich white people and figure out what they did

It's always amazed me how White people fucking LOVE doing that shit. Like with the Aloha and Mahalo constantly. Just stop.

The first time I went to Hawaii I tried it on for size and felt cringey as fuck doing it and learned to just stick with "hello" and "thanks" and not be some fucking try hard

ew
what the fuck
why would you have a black girlfriend
jesus christ

It is very strange. If some nigger walked up to me, said 'How do you do?' But then started chanting in his ooga booga tongue I'd give him no credit for it.

Any native who can't speak the language should kill himself, but white people have no obligation to learn it.
