I think adding a quarterly recommendation list would go a long way to quieting the shilling; if someone asks, you can just point them to the pastebin. Enterprising anons could even go so far as to write explanations as to why the recommended miners are recommended.

Not sure whether that would work very well though as that would discourage discussion and speculation I think, though it would reduce people asking to be spoonfed
I feel like PAN MAN's recommendations would be sufficient. I suppose the written explanations would best be kept out of the pastebin, you're probably right about that potentially discouraging discussion.
Thinking about it more, that wouldn't be a good idea in my opinion. Right now is fine. People are slowly learning to do their DD and we've tightened our lips on spoonfeeding. Let's not get too hung up on things, let's see where we get with the current setup first before making any more big changes
