don't wanna get slashed, waiting for coinbase staking (don't make fun of me)

where are you staking?

I spread across different staking services. Biggest chunk is on Kraken, the other two are stakefish and stkr. I'm also waiting for Coinbase to stake more though, I feel safest with them. Worried I'll screw something up with the services and I don't like Kraken as much as Coinbase.

lol what? .43 %? lmao I thought it was supposed to be around 5%?

Doing it myself

ROI not APR dilbert. This shit will pay for itself in no time.

My greatest fear is it being locked for 2+ years and missing the next bubble, only to be released after it has dumped 90% like it did before.

What if the next bubble doesn't come for another 4?

Slasher?? Pffft that's just an old wives tale

Because I'm staking TOMOCHAIN (a far better hold)

>My greatest fear is it being locked for 2+ years and missing the next bubble, only to be released after it has dumped 90% like it did before.
That's why I hold so much ETH that a validator node is only 15% of my stack

Far better? How many chips are you playing with? 4mil 24 hour is peanuts

This guy gets it

>ROI not APR dilbert
what's the difference?

APR measures the gain per year. ROI measures the return on initial capital.

How many eths are req for make staking?

if it comes in another 4 weeks then i'll be ready to sell the top because i'm not a degenerate staker

32 min

I'm sorry for your loss

Considering how eth2 has rolled out, it may take that long for stakes to be released too.

It is less than 5% for me, I don't see why that matters. The volatility in crypto means I'd rather miss out on ~16% apr at most vs a ~1000% bubble. Its fine if you dont plan on selling either way, but if you aren't, the risk of being illiquid shouldn't be taken lightly.

Because I'm not a faggot

You're delusional if you think a 1000% bubble will happen before the eth1/eth2 merge

What makes you say that? From historical data chances of a bubble happening before the next btc halving is pretty good, even more so within the next 2 years, remember, the prices only go that high for a short time, and it runs up quickly, eth was 8$ at the beginning of the year the bubble happened. Meanwhile the loose eta lines up to have phase 2 happen right around that time assuming it goes off without a hitch and happens q1 2022. Within that time frame you are getting a maximum of ~35% return from staking assuming no other eth gets staked. So really it boils down to whether or not eth2 will be on schedule. If you stake, you bet the potential lost bubble (1000%) that phase 2 will happen sooner, and if you don't stake you bet ~35% lost reward that the bubble will happen before phase 2. Even if we are generous and the price only pulls back by 50%, and if it takes 4 years to reach the bubble (right when the next halving occurs) even then the bets are 500% and ~80% returns.

Why aren't you guys using INJ platform yet? Losing money that's what you love to do lol.

dont forget the more people stake, the lower the % you make. And btw you cann make more ROI elsewhere js

OP what do I do if I am too stupid (and don’t have a 24/7 running quality pc/direct wiring to my modem) to run my own node. Do I wait for Coinbase to do it or what? I have 64 of these fuckers and am ready to jump in. But if CB is going to make it simple for babies like me without even having to convert my ETH then I feel like I should do that.

Staked.us

Best service out there... I’ve been keeping quiet about it so I can keep earning the high rates for a while :P

You must have some knowledge though

1. Know how to use MetaMask well
2. Ideally have a ledger and populate your public eth2 withdrawal key (it does it for you in the newest firmware update)

Because FLETA

It just sucks you can't compound/stake the ETH you earned until ETH 1.5 =(

try kraken.

32 ETH seems far away for me, is there any way I can pool with someone else 50/50?

All of the major exchanges are going to allow staking, or you can use something like rocketpool if you want a decentralized option.

ty

Because it would assrape my taxes. I don’t think anyone in my country will stake, it just fucks you and isn’t worth it
