Ocean holder here, bought in at 60 cents after being told my people I thought were my friends in the telegram group that it would be $1 by eoy.
Anyway, last night I told my new girlfriend and her parents that I would treat them to dinner. Her dad thinks I’m a bit of a loser and isn’t overly impressed that I only work part time in a carpet shop and I told him I’m a crypto trader when we first met aswell. Meal was going well, spent most of the meal explaining how blockchain works, explaining how Ocean Protocol will be the next big thing. I had him on side I think as he asked me if he should maybe invest in crypto if it’s all I say it is. At the end of the meal I asked for the bill, waitress came over and it was like $150, told them it was my treat as I’ve had a good year of trading, handed waitress my card, it declined. I tried again and it declined, red faced I said maybe it’s the wrong pin. My girlfriends dad stepped in and said he will pay, I said no, maybe half each, he paid his half with no problem, waitress hands me the card machine, declined again. Her dad said, no problem he will pay it all and I can leave a tip, he paid and passed the machine to me to pay the $10 tip as I had no cash, card declined again. At this point I wanted to just rope myself there and then. My girlfriend paid the tip and we left the restaurant and went home, drove home in complete silence. Feel like shit now and a complete loser, all of my fiat went into buying Ocean and now it’s worth peanuts and I have minus $500 in my bank account. Was anyone else here duped into buying this scam?

Unfortunately you've been Baghunted my friend. I bought a small amount at 0.06 and should have sold at 0.6 (6000 sats - so it'd be worth more in USD now) but was holding out for close to that $1 too.
