Because they can't understand it plus they are afraid of risk plus they are jealous of those who took risk and were vastly rewarded for doing so.

I think it’s why I like it so much. Ppl are irritated with me whenever I mention the potential and it completely goes over their heads. They’re gonna be even more salty when it turns out I’m right.

They think taxes are great because most of them are net receivers.

Because user what if I lose my money ? *buys new phone every year (monthly payments of course)*

>reeeeee you can’t just buy stuff and get insanely rich with fake internet money!!!!

Anger of missing out.

I mean, most blockchains are transparent and traceable. Besides privacy coins like monero, I don’t think it’ll effect tax collection much except for a few ppl that know how to mask. Congress is asking more money for the IRS to prbly crack down on crypto. 2020 tax year is going to leave a lot of burger anons buttblasted.

>It is just a pyramid scheme mmmkaaayy?
>you should invest in real assets like savings accounts at the bank
>why don't you get a real job? I hear the call centre are hiring
>Why don't you just buy a house instead?

Normies think printing more money and giving it to the poor is an actual possibility, think about the kind of brain dead npc theh are

>IT HAS NO VALUE AT ALL ITS JUST AIR.
cnbc.com/2020/02/24/warren-buffett-cryptocurrency-has-no-value.html

They're all shit scared of what happened in 2018 and can't see past it. The mentality is that because it happened before then it will happen again, and not that it was a nascent tech which is maturing now. Not saying there won't be crashes again, but not like that, and not for so long before recovery. Fiat is fucked and you can see them all struggling with the cognitive dissonance of having to look at crypto again after they've all been celebrating its 'demise'.
>See? I told you it was tulip bulbs
>Oh, you mean it's not tulip bulbs after all?
>muh you'll regret it. how do i buy it anyway?

>but not like that
kek it most certainly will be like that. as long as it moons violently it will crash as violently, we are not seeing any increased stability yet

I literally showed my cousin an article about Mass Mutual buying 100 million dollars worth and he still defaulted to “it has no value and absolutely no purpose.” Dudes a dev too and could make bundles of cash developing with blockchain. If I wasn’t retarded, I’d learn this shit.

I'm buying 10 dollars worth of bitcoin, is this the right first time move?

20k to 3k for 3 years. Come on.. it's not gonna do that

It's really interesting how many devs are so against it. I think it's because while they understand the technology, they don't get the economics part. They *feel* like they fully grasp it, and see it as an inferior database.
>why would I wait 10 minutes when we can just spin up an aws instance? this is stupid

>donwload Pi network app
>use invitation code tomdorr
>mine pi
>???
>profit$$$$$

How does $10,000,000 sound?

Why wouldn't it? Could be $100k to $10k or $20k to $3k again. Stability isn't here. Saying come on it's not going to do that makes me think it will kek

Developers have a hard time swallowing blockchain.
Because it's an extremely complicated system that's running without technical leadership.
I still don't swallow it desu, but reality of finance made me just ignore that intuition.

Because it isn’t mainstream, normies only like mainstream things

It boils down to lack of leadership in the blockchain tech.
Any tech product without leadership would be assumed to be dead, open-source or proprietary.

It’s existence, philosophy and boom are evidence they live in a society that is broken. They don’t want to exert the mental energy to think about how the system is broken, because most people have become hypernormalized into accepting this reality as status quo.

It's because we all know how the humanity valuing of gold itself is irrational and a symptom of human flaw.
Bitcoin flies in the face of that and abuses that collective psychological glitch.
Above everything, normies hate it when you point out how human behaviour is mostly irrational.

No, that's not my experience and I know a lot of devs. That is not an angle I've ever heard.

I didn't expect you to change your opinion because I said "come on".
You saying "stability isn't here" isn't going to make me change mine, either, but I wouldn't imply you suggested it.
Okay, let's have a survey. Who thinks it's likely that Bitcoin will go to $3k again? I don't. I think it would never bottom that low, and when it does bottom, I think it'll recover quickly. I think we'll see more of that quick recovery in the future. I don't understand why you're here if you think that's likely. You think Fiat is gonna keep going? 33% of USD has been printed in the last 10 months. It's a dying horse. People are seeing that.

I don't think it's going to $3k either, but I don't think volatility is decreasing. Given that we are in an upswing I think it's likely we'll never see $3k again, but only because after this cycle I think conditions will have changed.

A lot of normies I’ve spoken to dont comprehend the massive shift in the world reserve currency status of the USD and the hyperinflation causing economic and social collapses in many poorer countries right now. They think that the USD will remain king forever even if the IMF is already talking about a new Bretton Woods moment. Central banks have been buying gold. I think with institutions coming in, prices will slowly begin to stabilize. Normie retail has weak hands, while institutional investors and prbly got iron grips. Normies won’t enter until there’s a big pump first.

Yes.

I think it's because it never goes anywhere, even i'm getting tired of the endless pump and dump scams.

I dunno what you mean by normies but I figure you mean new comers in crypto. I’ll tell you why: because it’s unfair seeing other people make a lot of money betting on the success of vaporware crypto projects while the rest of us are working 9 to 5 and barely making a living and doing our part in society.
