He should know better than anyone that markets are not rational.
If markets were rational the dollar wouldn't be the currency of the world simple as that, it's enforced artificially.
Why would you make a claim about x failing when it could literally be propped up and enforced.

I remember back in the early 90s when hyperinflation was just around the corner, the Fed was going to collapse any minute, and everyone's going to be trading in gold coins.
We've had, what, four economic crises since then, and no one's marking prices in ounces of gold yet. The collapse is sure taking its sweet time.
