How to make A LOT of money

How to make A LOT of money

>Finish college, STEM/Econ/Law degree
>Go work somewhere like NYC or California
>Grind your ass off
>Assuming your starting salary is about $100k (par for the course in NYC), you can expect your salary by 50 yrs old to be about $300k.
>Commute to work and invest around 50% of your net income early on, 40% after 10 years

Assumming constant ROI of 12%,
By the time you're 50 you would have a passive income of $1.5M a year, basically meaning you can retire and worry about nothing for the rest of your life.

Being rich is literally ez as long as you are semi-smart and are a bit lucky.

>working until you're 50
I'd rather die

>assuming constant ROI of 12%
lol, imagine using the last 100 years of stock market returns to project returns for the next 30 years

the world is completely changing as we speak

past data is no indication of the future

>Passive income
>While we're nearing a major deleveraging event
Dumb money, everybody. Easy money and passive income in the stock market are no more. Embrace DD.

NYC fag with stem degree here. Don't bother. If you aren't a minority or here on H1B, you won't get past the interview. The only time I even got them was because I put down my race as Hispanic.

>work until you're 50
No thanks OP, not a faggor like you.

this

I'm making 300k as a software engineer at 25.

Are Finnish colleges that much better at STEM/Econ/Law degree than other countries?

City/education level/niche?

Kek user, you added one N too many

>just wage slave for 30 years

The nigger OP is a “content creator” for Business Insider, guarantee it.

don't bother asking, the answer is San Francisco, bachelor's degree, software engineer

Bellevue BS JavaScript

>how to make A LOT of money
>work your ass off

amazing op

Lmao this kid is 19 and 100k in debt with 3 more years to go plus no job prospects

as a fellow Bellevue user, I call bullshit.

I know an user at matches this exact description, does web dev, plus goes to Bellevue Community College. is a lying kike

I know a software engineer who drives around in a model s, owns his own house, and really sounds like he has his shit together on paper.
Fast forward a year and it turns out he has a stupid loan on the car that's so crippling he had to refinance his 30 year mortgage into another 30 year mortgage (lower payment bro!), and he only had 3% down on the house and only paid for about 5 years of the first loan. He basically reset the worst part of a mortgage with lower interest, and if you tried to tell him what he was doing was idiotic, all he did was repeat that the payment was lower, so it's better.
I dunno how much he makes a year but compsci people are fucking dumb as shit with money.

or just buy wozx

You can get a TC of $300k by 25-30 (or younger) easily if you do CS and are good/get lucky with RSUs.

Biggest obstacles to success are lifestyle creep, women making you spend money, kids, and divorce/alimony/child support. And getting tired of doing some soul sucking corporate job

t. corpo rat

how not to make a lot of money.
Go into debt to go to college. Think you are gonna be a Stem, Econ, Law.
Settle like a nigger for fine arts, business, or a General Bachelors or even worse an associates.

Think your degree means jack shit.

Go to NYC or Mexifornia during the middle of a plandemic. Try to find non existent jobs. (everyone works remote and lives in a different state). Go get absolutely anally annihilated in rent. End up homeless. Still think your gonna make it. Refuse to move back. Start day drinking to cope. Show up to interviews looking like a fucking bum. Give up and become based broke coin collecting bum. Make just enough money collecting donations to buy a pack of cigs each week.

what did the process of getting this look like? take me through your education, training, and what you're currently doing. is it all just front end? what framework?

Bahahaha, 3 months training, 4 years paid apprenticeship at 25+ an hour now making 6 figures as a plumber as a plumber working 6 mos a year while you are eating Ramen trying to pay of student debt. BAHAHAHAHA

Oh, and I have zero bosses. I'll overcharge you 300 bucks for ten minutes worth of work at you'll pay me with a smile. We laugh at you guys you know.

Aaaaaand I have insurance that you would kill your mother to have + a 70k a year pension, stock portfolio with 100% matching from the union, oh and actual fucking skills that are useful and impossible to automate. All you paper pushing bitches are going to be replaced by robots and AI in 10 years, enjoy your $1000 a month gov. Stipend, I'll make sure to toast you during one of my 2 vacations I take a year to a different country every year.

My youtuber friend made 1 million in the third year. Since then he has like 6 houses and a vacation every month. My other youtuber friend made 1k total after 4 years.

As someone who moved from Bellevue to CA and has a friend still there who is in to Zig Forums I probably know one of you, so hi

yeah but theyre both schizophrenic

You're cool user, I like the cut of your jib. I just wish you didn't get so whiny about your tax bracket over $250k going from 36% to 39% especially considering all these lovely bennies you mention here. I know this is old history but I still have PTSD from that time period

Golden post here

OP is british

There is no 'law' degree at the undergrad level in the USA, but there is in the UK. In the USA you have to take something like PSCI before you go to Law school and you have to get a high GPA and high score on the LSAT unless you want to go to a shitty law school.

I work in software and recently refi'd to a 15 year @2.625% and will never own a Tesla feels comfy as shit

hey guess what I make two times more than you, am younger than you, and my back won't hurt in 10 years

but you don't see me bragging about it. kek

I wonder if this is possible for someone like me

I started late but make about 170k at 28 years old. Still have 58k in school debt, and only 14k invested so far. After forbearance is over I plan to pay off debt ASAP, but it feels a bit shitty to think I’m still just starting and 50 is only 22 years away for me.

Sounds like a shit wage slave life desu
