in case of what?, that's good though. xumm could still be compromised. It's installed on your phone. Your phone has Google listening, and whatever brand you're using also has it's services listening, AND the apps you installed too. IMO if you're top 5% and above, paper wallet is a must.

I admit it has some pretty cool security features. I especially liked the wallet generation process and how it avoids common keyloggers, but, it can't avoid screen captures I think?
I guess the only point to worry about is during wallet generation, or a remote admin tool (which you'd have to be pretty damn stupid to catch) that'd control your phone manually, or something that switches out the address while sending.
But yeah I guess it's safe for the most part?

I think you're going a little too far here, and this is coming from someone who has paper wallets. I did the whole schbang and used an airgapped laptop with tails on it.
The main problem with a paper wallet is that it's a pain in the ass to extract and move your funds. It's a one time deal. Once you have to move them, you defeat the whole purpose of a paper wallet as you have to connect to a service or software wallet and go from there.
So I also use Ledger and Atomic. Both of their teams are public and Atomic's code is partially open source. So, I think it's safe. It really depends on the amount of crypto you want to be able to move around.
Around 30% of my xrp are on paper wallets. I might deposit more into paper. The rest are spread out on other wallets.
Also for all the crap Coinbase gets, they are insured, and they have pretty effective failsafes (like Ip detection) in case you are hacked. So its worth it to keep a little bit of xrp on there.
