I'm 28 so barely old enough to remember the 90s, from what my brother told me the thing he remembers most about the 80s and early 90s is empty crack viles everywhere, like dozens of them littering every single park. Coming of age in 2000s post-9/11 was fun though. The city was safer and improving every year but still sketchy enough for a teenager to get some excitement out of things.
