Unironically the only place that will be affordable is Pennsylvania right across the border, the commute is closer to an hour and half but it's worth it for the higher density of white people. I live just north of the MD border and houses are in the 300-500k range around here generally, can even find farms with some land.

The only places in Maryland worth moving to are Potomac, Chevy Chase, and some parts of Bethesda. That's where all the rich white people live. I live in North Potomac and my community has at least one section 8 house even though houses start for $600k

Also yes, Maryland houses are the optime of McMansion no matter where you are. The only exception is Bethseda but those houses cost 2-3 mil a piece. Its all white and rich though you still will have neighbors sadly.
