It is true, but uniswap doesn't have as many users as a CEX like Binance or Coinbase, nor does it have a good UI, and its ridden with scams. Many normands and more conservative crypto traders refrain from using it. I, myself, have only used it to buy Wozx and have been in crypto since early 2017
