/XMR/ Monero General

Welcome to XMR General, dedicated to the discussion of the world's leading privacy-coin!
Because Monero is secure, low-fee, and borderless, people can easily send money despite corrupt and broken governments or banks. This provides economic empowerment of individuals in oppressive countries or depressed economies.
Private financial history protects consumers and companies from price manipulation, supply chain exploitation, economic discrimination, or the like. Monero is the only cryptocurrency that has the features to serve as completely fungible, decentralized, electronic cash.

If you're new, feel free to ask any questions you like and a Monero Chad will be with you shortly.

I hate to tell you but Monero is a fed honeypot. I sold my XMR for piratechain (ARRR)

Hey anons, make sure to update your wallet if you run a node!

depends how fast this bubble plays out but a 20k top could happen if we see btc at 300k and xmr at around 0.06. And the market cap would still be lower than btc's is right now since the circulating supply will be lower until like 2040 iirc. Once we passed ATH in 2016/17 it took only a year to top out.

>$250 eoy 2021
surely you meant eoy 2020 or eom jan 2021??

continued growth in adoption on the dark net and the implementation of atomic swaps.
I believe we break the 1000 barrier.
price action looking real nice today. the USD chart is very bullish. 175 by xmas.
I really don't see 300k BTC as that realistic. But who the fuck knows in this clown world lol.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I can’t take it
Monero is just so god damn comfy

based and comfypilled

Prepare for all of the recent BTC gains to come back to XMR.

stop fucking spamming this shit retard XMR still cant scale

Says who? Dynamic blocks allow for better scaling than most.

You say pajeet but you have no answer for this: cointelegraph.com/news/ciphertrace-develops-monero-tracing-tool-to-aid-us-dhs-investigations
Feds already know how to trace monero transactions so what is the point of monero now? If you want privacy research pirate.black (inb4 pajeet etc)

This is the CEO of ciphertrace. If you cant freely find information on the internet you're ngmi.

twitter.com/davejevans/status/1330008956270374918?s=19

name me a single person who was arrested because of a traced monero transaction. Go on. I will wait right here until you do.
Also pirate is a shitcoin. Your user sets are trash and you have zero darknet adoption. Kill yourself raj.
dynamic block size, dynamic fees, tail emission. Neck yourself.

that faggot is shilling a coin named pirate chain, he isn't making it on that shit - ever.

started with an unknown amount of monero in Q1, was worth 1.1 btc at the time. now in 30% fiat profit, worth 0.72 BTC. Not comfy at all

why would i trust a coin with a mexican name

Dynamic block size doesn't solve scaling, it solves spam transactions, which was the point of Bitcoin's hard block size limit. The real answer is that scaling has never been an actual problem, it's bullshit made up by special interests who want to rent seek on Bitcoin transactions. Hardware and network bandwidth are growing exponentially and Monero has a long way to go before even today's capacity would be limiting factor. Additionally, there's no technical obstacle preventing Monero from adopting Lightning Network in the event that it turns out to not be a buggy pile of garbage.

It's Esperanto. "Monero" isn't even a Spanish word, you might be thinking of "dinero".

Will they? Right now a lot of coins are pumping big but I'm all in XMR and it's not moving much

how new are you? We've been pumping the past few weeks. Plus we never pump significantly with other shitcoins, we always pump on our own.
literally every sentence your wrote is incorrect. It's actually impressive. Bitcoin maxis need the rope.

oh wait never mind I'm retarded
but you are still retarded for thinking dynamic block size doesn't solve scaling, or that scaling isn't a problem

How long does the wallet usually take to sync for the first time?
