Certain flavor concentrates also contain some pretty nasty chemicals, so do your research if you care about your health. Also, nicotine is not a drug I would suggest anyone get hooked on. Its vasoconstriction properties can cause serious long term effects. It will literally starve your brain of oxygen and make you dumb.

Juul pods are absurdly overpriced though. You can but your own juice (needs to be salts) and refill them yourself very easily. Literally 10% the cost and you can get many more flavors.

I did JUUL for a month. It was a good substitute, and I didn't crave cigs. But I hit that fucking thing like a crackhead in peak negro season, and I decided in the end it was probably canceling out any benefit because of the increased intake.

Hmm, I never got the feeling of having it on my lips. If you use salts in a sub-ohm device, the kind used for traditional vaping, it won’t be a good experience.

To me salts are superior, they give a stronger hit with the “throat hit” feeling of a cigarette and they deliver a stronger nicotine hit much faster. Freebase was never satisfying for me. Plus, no silly clouds.

I smoke a pipe. Better than all alternatives for me. Don't need a humidor to store tobacco. Just put it in a glass jar and keep in a dark place. Good choice of flavors and types. Can mix and match tobacco to get what I want. Once you get over the learning curve of packing and using a pipe, it is easy.
I've had good pipe time on a cheap corn-cob pipe with drug-store tobacco and I have a $100 pipe and high dollar specialty tobacco. You can find something you like in your budget.
Finally, I can smoke a pipe everyday for months then put it away for weeks and never had an issue with addiction or withdrawal.

Try it in the morning with a good cup of coffee. If you don't like it, you spent less than $20. If you do like it, try some different types of tobacco and go from there.

The physical withdrawals really aren't a big deal, and even the addictive urges themselves aren't hard to overcome. Make sure it is labeled Pipe Tobacco. Some specialty pipe tobaccos come in flat tins. The cheap pipe tobaccos come in a plastic pouch. Carter Hall is in a small box but it has a plastic pouch on the inside.
I know the corn-cob pipe sounds like a hillbilly meme, but that is the best starter pipe. Don't buy one that is too cheap China knock-off, tho. It might work but search the net for Missouri Meershaum. They are made in the US and only cost a few bucks more. I have a couple of MM cobs that only cost $12 but have lasted for years.
