I bought exactly that mask, and later on I found out it's useless. You need p3 or p100 filters wich Im pretty sure off do not fit on these masks.
Why wouldn't it help? It's basically a longer term usage respirator than the single use ones. If everyone had one it'd spread less.
I don;t know about hat mask in particular but based on the design I would assume there is a p100 filter on each side.

I paint cars and even some respirators sold as paint respirators dont protect you against types of hardeners in clear and some industrial paints. So wearing a home made mask against COVID is just a boot licking fashion statement

Ill try to make it simple, You can get a paint respirator that will protect for painting cars and filter most of the bad shit out, but you could change the type of paint or add something like a type of harder to the mix and now your filter doesnt work because it was not meant to filter out that

That looks like a 6200 to me. I have two, both with two sets of p100 filters stored with them. It's about the most commonly bought half-face respirator in the world, of course they make p100 for it.
Some of the masks have a little square thingy in the front. I was under the assumption that some of those respirator half face type masks have a much larger version of the square thingy on both sides.

The molecules of vapor from paint are literally like 1/1000th the size of a virus. A virus is massive compared to small molecules of volatile gas. P100 filters have been shown in peer reviewed study to block well over 99.9% of aerosoled virus.

Are you retarded? A particulate filter will filter out particles larger than the minimum it's designed to filter. You can't pass a strand of spaghetti through a gas mask filter because "it's not explicitly designed to filter pasta" or something.
