They are not. All people are subconsciously divided along racial lines first and foremost. Men and women naturally gravitate towards traditional roles and require social conditioning to do otherwise. Intolerance prevents your society from being subverted. Bigotry assures that only your people and your state succeed. All of the things Gibbs talks about are not only, in practice, good but are ESSENTIAL for the long term success of any state. Every state that has forgotten these things, has failed. Every state that is currently in the process of forgetting these things, is in the process of failing RIGHT NOW.
