In response to the near constant slide and bait threads pruning the fucking board, I decided to make a thread a week ago, asking 'when was the last time you had an interesting discussion on Zig Forums'. The idea was to get people to link any recent interesting and productive convo's they had. Redpills, memoryholes ect. 'Suprisingly', Jannie had a bad case of the cheetos and done what he does best to it. And I ended up getting a nice involuntary break from Zig Forums...
But it got me thinking, would the board benifit, say, at the end of the day someone making some sort of 'daily best of pol' thread, where anons link any potentially worthwhile threads to read incase anyone missed them? Obviously there are currently other ways to deal with this issue but maybe this might be a good way to get some good threads read by those that just browse Zig Forums rather than the archives ect.
Needles to say anyone could make these threads, so long as they all have a common naming theme so they are easily findable. Thoughts lads???

I think that's more a phase 2 plan. I wouldn't even know where to begin. Zig Forums needs to do something about itself 1st and foremost. This is sadly trueBut if we can make Zig Forums easier and more time efficent to gather infomation we will all be better for it. Unforunetly Zig Forums on Zig Forums is the goldilocks zone for user base, popularity and infomation as of now and it deserves to be saved.

Basically just get a constantly renewing thread, like the Daily Trump ones. Or the old YLYL threads. Maybe come up with 5 sections: Humor, Politics, Self-Improvement, Literature, Challenging mental exercises, idk. Just ideas.
This is a really good idea OP. Highly recommend. Why hasn't there been a /bop/ general thread already? This place is a goldmine but so much of it is obscure and disappears to the archive so fast. This is a needed idea.

So, my thoughts in an incoherent but compact form: You need a clear goal as to what to expect from this thread/general. If you want a recap general, that's not gonna work directly, you need to get to it from a different angle. General general /gg/ should be reserved as a hub for ongoing generals, so the information network is more densely connected. You need an archive general of sorts, something with new information or breakthroughs, not regurgitated shit. You need to work on: 1. The branding 2. The formatting 3. The theme of the general 4. Pioneers who will work with you More thoughts coming, but i'm too lazy to write it all out.
