What is the difference between evolution and adaptation?

macro evolution takes millions of years.

Great. Now you just need to prove that it can magically create a living creature.

>singles out Christians rather than all religious people
*tipping intensifies*

bacteria evolved into small fins, fins evolved to legs
I’m not going to go too in depth. For some reason christ keks think the world is like 500 years old

subhuman IQ people of other races have evolved brain size it’s understandable

So then whats the difference between rapid evolution and adaptation?

lower evolved*

Pkease provide observed evidence of macro evolution. I'll wait.

Why are there no "new" creatures evolving from organisms today, other than things we've made, like COVID 19?

Most of muslims scholars defined and explained Darwinian evolution in the 800-1400 AD period. It was accepted by the general population in the medieval islamic period.

The idea that evolution came from Darwin is stupid.

adaptation is essentially a less complex process of evolution. in bacteria for example mutations were extremely common. Lets say a mutation for an extra fin shaped limb on the sides. if these even help increase survival rate of 1% there will be bullions of more bacteria with the gene. over a long period of time it becomes more and more successful, at the same time other mutations are occurring

Fool, this is just a test of faith.

yeah because your definition of today, of ALL OF HUMAN LIFE, is a tiny amount of time compared to the process of evolution

I swear I am not being a troll and am just stoned and curious, why isn't the fossil record at the very least a smoking gun to you? I don't think there is anymore concrete proof of macro evolution than there is alien seeding or God theories, I also just don't think it is much worse an idea either.

YEC think it's 5000 years, fyi
Furthermore, just as physics dictates the laws that describes the organization and order of creation, so too does biology

Scientists like to think they've planted their flag in science as a "no Christians allowed" society
But let me remind you that the discovery of the evolutionary diversity of finches leading to Darwinian theory was made by the devout Christian David Lack
Einstein's work on the theory of relativity was aided by a conversation with the Christian astronomer Georges Lemaitre
Before the era of secular scientists, science was a religious pursuit to understand the nature of God's creation

To this day, Christian scientists make contributions to all fields of science, myself included

your meds.

I am a christian baiting with the title. Who’s to say God didn’t create the concept of evolution?

Dunno bud, sounds like youre just describing evolution again.

so by that logic there should be countless examples of missing link skeletons present to find because it would have taken millions of years to have this happen.

Yet why do you we never find any of them? certainly its just bad luck right?

adaptation is on a single generational scale. Evolution takes many generations

Finding whole skeletons is a difficult thing to do. Bones usually break down completely after several years it has to be a very climate dependent situation for fossils to be preserved.

>Muh a paper by a (((SOAS))) pajeet
>Full of mistranslations/deliberate misquotation.
>No proof of that being a widespread belief whatsoever

KYS fag

>inbreeding and crossbreeding creates mutations
humans have swam, fished, and lived next to water for thousands of years, yet none have developed gills

You can directly read ibn khaldun, what he wrote is pretty clear.

>>No proof of that being a widespread belief whatsoever
first of all, all the figures cited were famous and people who could read did read them
it was for the educated at least, any students of ibn khaldun questionnned his work on that matter when he was teaching

Seethe more, ape.

Are you not annoyed in the slightest that a group like the Catholics could be so anti science for such a long time only to eventually be forced to coopt science as "The Proof and Power of God"? I don't mind faith, and lord knows my passion subject Biology was fostered by monks and men of the robe, but a lot of religious scientists come off as disingenuous fence sitters. I am sorry, you can not be a biologist and think the world is 3-5k years old. There are living trees over 2,000 years old...

britannica.com/science/evolution-scientific-theory/The-fossil-record

What are you trying to say? I know there are HUGE gaping holes in the record. I also know the record doesn't contradict itself i.e. a mammal showing up thousands of years before it should. Again, not concrete proof, but must be taken into consideration. If not for evolution where did warm blooded animals come from when they popped up in the fossil record. Again not trying to flame or troll, just actually curious.

>You can directly read ibn khaldun, what he wrote is pretty clear.
Read it in its original language faggot. No where to be found there. Or you can blindly trust an orientalist cucked translation done clearly after darwin came up with his crap

>Seethe more, ape.
>ape
I'm your daddy.

>Are you not annoyed in the slightest that a group like the Catholics could be so anti science for such a long time?
When, pray tell, were they anti-science?
All Catholic scientists I've known (and there are dozens in my experience alone) have been very disciplined and passionate in understanding the underpinnings of God's creation, and have been very helpful to me in becoming motivated to understand truth through the scientific method

>you can not be a biologist and think the world is 3-5k years old
I don't and nor do most Catholics. YEC is more of a fundamentalist/protestant belief

It's not just the fossil record. It's the complete lack of ANY kind of observable evidence at all. We can't simulate it. We don't see "new life forms" developing even in the slightest, at any stage of development. We also don't have a remotely completely fossil record which CANNOT just be " hand waived away." That belies that fact that evolution is a Mason lie to begin with.

Tomists are inherently retarded because God is not just some physical phenomenon. It's a poor idea to try to "prove God" through science. The proof of God is metaphysical and has already been arrived at centuries ago.

Give me a shred of evidence for macro evolution that isn't purely an appeal to authority and emotion, and requires no "faith" that is the same as the level of faith required to believe in God. Except that belief in God is logical and that logic can't even exist without God.

Funny enough, there are en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_transitional_fossils
Fossilization is an extremely rare process

Low IQ bait. Sage this trash.
t. Not a Christian

>claiming to be a Christian and not believing Genesis.
Catholics, ladies and gentlemen.

Evolution takes place in the spiritual level. It's called transmutation. It's what the alchemist term turning lead into gold. A species will never evolve into another species. A Caterpillar and a butterfly are the same species. I've seen people try that argument before

like stated before, 1,000 years is nothing. What do you think your tailbone is from though?

So rare there are many examples of both before and after the link but never the link itself ah?

Hmm... must just be bad luck.

really bad luck. Yep.

>Claiming to be a Christian and holding a purely literalist interpretation of the Bible
You know Christ spoke in parables, right?

humans don’t produce double digit or higher offspring of course there’s less chance for mutation
