Anyone that disagrees with this needs to look up who leadership is in gov agencies. There are cities where the whole city counsel is female, divisions and whole centers at CDC are 100% or close female with sometimes a token gay guy. Many start ups are nearly 100% female. At the same jobs they regularly make more than me because female engineers are rare supposedly so for tax benefits we make the team 75% them, all the managers are them, and I get paid less despite being overallocated constantly. They get 2 months of maternity leave and more sick leave and 12 days vacation, to my 12 days of vacation and 2 sick days. Short term disability covers pregnancy. But as a father I have to drag a wife all over but I have to make up 100% of the time and use my precious vacation just to be in the delivery room with her.
