They also were given menial jobs such as taking care of the children while the real men went off to do battles.

From the top of my head, its like less than 0.5% whites and goes lower amount other populations. In fact, blacks have the highest instance of the warrior gene at 5% of their population. How could people hate weapons? They are the great equalizer. With a gun you don't have to worry if someone bigger or stronger than you comes along, you won't be at their mercy. If anything weaker people should like weapons more, but they usually don't.
