I've never wore one. The stores that require them have other places. O' Reilly's requires them but NAPA doesn't. None of the grocery stores require them where I'm at. When people do wear them everyone shames them and they say "I have a disability ".

Not only do the masks no protect you from the virus, wearing one probably increases your risk. I see people constantly touching their mask to adjust it because they don't fit properly. So now they are touching their face more increasing exposer.
