It's a process that has to play out. People can scream "cope" all they want, but the problem is bigger than a few cities. It's a problem of political ideology and demographic trends leading nowhere. There's never going to be a "happening" before the collapse. The collapse is the happening. Because until the system currently in place can no longer function, nobody will do a thing.
