This seems also mostly right: except I think even if communism were implemented correctly, the economy would completely stultify from the lack of entrepreneurship since the government is effectively totalitarian and spends all its resources managing distribution among the people equally instead of providing the more creatively productive with an excess of resources to experiment.

I'm a zoomer and I can tell you that the propaganda is virtually non-existent until you reach university. Even then I think there's a bit of tension among university staff as to the existence of these communist elements: even in the humanities. The problem is all the talk about anti-communism and true libertarianism is being driven 'underground' and into non-union supported societies. We still think, and can, outdebate these half-wits, but I think it's starting to get beyond that point. One thing is clear is that EVERYONE is sick of the university administrations. Someone is going to have to seize them first.

The fundamental flaw of communism is that they believe that the value of an object is based on the amount of manhours it takes to make it. This is a fantasy born from wishful thinking, from lower classes who want to feel like they are valuable. In actuality, pure unskilled manpower is actually not worth much at all in our post machine age world, which is why worker wages are so low in capitalist countries.

Under the communist model, you can have factories producing useless junk no one buys and they call it economic progress. Or you can assign land to people who have no notion of farming and expect it to be productive because the bureaucrats in charge just see manhours and not skill as being the primary factor in productivity.

Communist theories always result in mass starvation and economic collapse when implemented, almost always followed by a quick switch back to a mixed economic model that allows for some capitalism.

I wouldn't say just because there isn't a perfect solution there shouldn't be an incentive to improve, though I agree that pretty much any system which flies a red flag appeals only to the uneducated and resentful. Social capitalism is the furthest I'd be willing to go on that front.

Beyond that, Distributists, which are more like main-street capitalists, have some good ideas but no strategy for implementation, but no one knows what a distributist is unless they fall into the Huey Long meme.
