This is The future of the data storage or just a fading hype?

No, you have to put all your data and Hitler pictures on one of the approved Clouds: Google, Apple or Microsoft.
Computers won't even have a hard drive in the future because guys like you have sociologically unacceptable data.
Were you born a faggot, or did you have a course in faggotry? Go to /g/ you subhuman
The kikes want everybody to subscribe to streaming services so data storage will become less and less important.
That's right! Any and all secure drives will be banned so we can only have memes in the cloud for POC and POWERFUL women! If you don't agree you're a bigot!
Calm down Moldbug
These. Everything-as-a-service models will dominate. Read Ellul
>This is The future of the data storage
Invented in 2004, is the future. This niggers retarded.
Actual Future of Storage coming thru
>future
user, SD cards have been here for about 20 years...
>Everything-as-a-service
this is what those guys at the world economic forum thinks, the world will work with the fourth industrial revolution.
I wouldn't be surprised if this is their objective for this decade.
SD cards are fucking slow as shit moving through a sloths anus
>90mb/s write
LMAO
NVME drive is 2000mb/s
i got this a month ago. from HDD to that.
god im in love
Same, got the 1tb one and holy fuck its so fucking faaaast
>from HDD
Was the journey from 2006 to today a difficult one, fellow chrononaut?
It's working for now, what's the problem?
I have 2 nvme drives, and they're fucking glorious.
Yup, those M2 sticks are a huge upgrade
even a standard SSD is huge compared to HDD
1. wrong forum
2. sd cards fail catastrophically
3. the future of long-term data storage is that Microsoft Project Silica
>SD cards are fucking slow as shit moving through a sloths anus
mb/s write
This. I fly drones and use sd cards to record flight telemetry. I have to be careful which ones I use because most can't even write fast enough to keep up and just corrupt all the data.
checked
These have been out for a long time now. Great drives if your MoBo can fit them. You can get pcie converters if necessary.
I just changed out my steam drive to 2 TB pic related.
3500ms read speed helps a lot for games like Warhammer 2 as armies and battles load.
quartz discs and nickel nanofiche storage is top tier
HAHA one terabyte micro!! no shit this is the future. technology still doubles in physical space:storage ever year, does it not?
meanwhile we have quantum computers doing insane future shit 100x more interesting than micro sd storage. but damn, if we get 128gb RAM with good enough processors, everyone can multibox every damn thing they want in full 1080p.
reminder that SSD disks are vulnerable to summer temperatures.
SSD disks are for fast work, HDD are for backup.
this reminds me that I need to backup my stuff now.
i was just thinking that. at this point, it's probably more important to have/develop proper cooling for these unreal future machines.
M-Disc
Where the fuck was this list pulled from? The very first CD ROM PC and console games are still fine, as are the late 80s music discs. "disc rot" is a meme over on /vr/. If a disc has failed it was because it was dragged through gravel and is too scratched to read.
All Atari and NES carts still work, unless the contact pins corroded. None of their ROMs are failing yet after 35-45 years. By old Atari carts at a garage sale and they work fine. The only NES games that give you trouble are the ones with battery backup
>REEEEE
calm down.
yeah that's way off, I have 80's cassettes that still work mostly fine lol, not to mention stacks of 20 year old DVD's on the shelf
How do they compare to SATA SSDs? I'm on a 5 year old 240 GB drive and that was already a giant leap forward from an HDD.
If this were true physical retro gaming would be impossible
The future of data storage will be organic matter
