It really is remarkable how many Americans a) don’t understand their own constitution b) can’t do basic research into the insurrection act. 1) It is not the role of the federal government to put down insurrection it is the role of the state governor and militia (I.e. state national guard). Secondly Trump May only authorise the use of Federal forces under the use of the insurrection act if directly ASKED by a state governor as the governor of CA asked Bush Sr in 1992.
