It isn't necessarily wrong to want better conditions for some subgroup of your society, but the harm comes in when the outside enemy realizes there is a rift between that subgroup and the whole group. I suspect the higher you go in these intermediary orgs the less you will find innocent people who don't know what the plan is.

That ruling was bizarre. At the time they made the civil rights act, there was a whole bunch of case law that said "rights of man", "man" etc. They had to make a new statute to say "'Man' includes these groups"
here, the judges didn't say "make a new statute to say 'man' means trans," they said "the old statute means gay and trans" -- even though nobody had ever considered that in 1965, and sodomy was illegal then (which strongly indicates they were NOT trying to legitimize that stuff).
Judges just rewrote the law instead of letting congress do it.

This action was met with high praise among DSA affiliates, notably Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who said this to an enraged Trump campaign advisor:
