A lot of this BLM shit is coming to people in the form of unavoidable media interruptions similar to advertisements, even in the advertisements that they pay to watch on their televisions. In theory that's a good idea but my reaction (and the reaction of other lefties) to that would be that white people are using wealthy people to distract from their own white privilege (despite not actually caring about rich privilege). As a lefty it is important to remember that everything the right does is Machiavellian and in poor faith.

We can meme about how corporations don't really care about black lives or gay rights, they are just looking for a profit. It's kinda weird how all corporations use the exact same copy-pasted messages towards black lives. Black lives didn't matter to corporations until they saw an opportunity to capitalize on it. Gay pride didn't matter to corporations until after gay marriage got legalized.
