Great in theory
I'll believe it when I see an end result.
Call Moot and tell him we'll take him back if he says sorry
>GROUP HUGS IT HELPS GUISE!
Bump
reminder that moot is one of the chief architects of the move towards silencing conservative and rw voices online.
lol sure. that faggot knows if he showed his face everyone would harass him. what the hell has he been doing?
i'd love him to come back though no homo
>Don't Be Evil
>Don't, Be Evil
I believe the point is moot
Based South Korean poster. Or are you there on workers visa?
I'm glad somebody else didn't forget about that.
Wasnt the last time this suit done, it made alphabt as they simply megacorped and slpit?
Cool, more market share for Alibaba.
Everything is coming along...
This is obviously a good thing. Where are the libertarians and ancaps when monopolies exist? Can't find 'em.
Bing, yandex, bonjour, boingo, baidu exists
There's no monopoly
Just your laziness to not use alternatives
Yeah they exist.
Advertising is based on eyes.
Those alternatives don't have the eyes on them.
Businesses and sole traders can use it and advertise on them, but for what?
Obviously new kinds of regulation need to be brought in to be appropriate for new tech.
Same goes with social media.
>There's no monopoly
Brainlet-tier post.
>This graph shows the market share of search engines worldwide from May 2019 - May 2020. Google has 92.06%, Bing has 2.61% and Yahoo! has 1.79%.
>expected to
just fucking DO IT they've been virtue signaling this shit for nearly 3 years now.
They put him on the G+ team which was a practice environment for deep mind. Not sure why or what he was working on, or where they put him after that.
>as an (((immigrant and a refugee)))...
every
damn
time
Say that this passes, what is to stop the splintered new companies from functioning exactly the same as the old ones? No one in Washington understands this industry, save for that it's a monopoly and exerting its power politically.
You mean like how Bell telephone got smashed, bought up by southwestern bell, who then bought at&t, and is now bigger than bell ever was?
>i'm sure it will be fine
>expected
well i expect to take a shit later today
itll be nice if it happens
Nah he's fucked
He'd get ousted by his jannies like Lowtax in 3 years, funnily enough offshoring Zig Forums ended up being a great idea because g00k doesn't really care about American politics. It's better if he just lurked
Mmm, lunchmeat!
fuck moot
carlos........
Google will promise to be a good boy in the future and will get a slap in the wrist. This happened before and will happen again. The people suing them are Alphabet shareholders, why would they vote for losing money?
And besides, dismantling Google would just mean that Baidu would take its place.
The situation is fucked.
Although I kinda want him back for nostalgia’s sake, I still prefer Hiroyuki as the owner. Plus he’s fucking hot.
good job Trump only took you 4 years!
No one will do anything.
Leftist can do whatever they want and no one will stop them
Google wasn't going fucking crazy until late 2017 desu.
Your daily reminder that a large government is bad, but a large private monopoly can act as a pseudo-government and can also be bad. We've seen that with Google shutting down sites. So the government can't stop your freedom of speech but Google can. Break up Google.
OH NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I assume if they are sued for their advertising, they will have to "spin-off" a part of their marketing division; however I believe their search engine needs to be looked at as a monopoly as well. Google is the default search engine for almost all android devices along with Google Chrome now being the default browser for newer phones. Not many people are going to switch to a new search engine when Google is the default engine.
Anti-trust laws are weak during Trump's administration.
T-Mobile just bought out Sprint; alternatively almost a decade ago, T-Mobile was about to be bought out by AT&T but the deal got denied.
