How real is the “silent majority” actually?

This is brought recently but how likely is a big win for republicans likely to happen?
I haven’t been able to find a size of the protests but logically there are more people who don’t participate then those who do.

>How real is the “silent majority” actually?
The fallacy is the assumption that it is of any consequence. There was a silent majority against Mao just like there was a silent majority against Kim Il Sung. Likewise with Saddam Hussein.

First, go to booksc and start reading, because you write like a retard. Second, it's not extremely likely, but it's not extremely unlikely either. Your deduction is correct, and you can take it further: not only are there more people not participating in protests than there are those participating; there are in fact more people not saying anything online, not commenting on BLM or Trump or anything else, than there are people who do. The silent majority exists.
>Mao and Kim II Sung and Saddam
great examples truly just like america today a flawless analogy

>great examples truly just like america today a flawless analogy
Yes. Yes, it truly is just like America today. Yes, the analogy is flawless.

Sure thing VPN.

Did those leaders allow their citizens to vote by secret ballot?

Is the presidential election 2020 done by secret ballot?

I think conservatives tend to actually vote more, the people who are siding with the looters and rioters are by and large politically apathatic and make excuses to vote too. The energy of that vote needs to be directed though.

Imagine listing out all the black mayors, city council members, etc who let BLM/ANTIFA and vote them out with white opponents. Vote out the white ones too.

Law and order

Most people I know now hate trump now. My family members all call trump a terrible person and aren’t voting for anyone but call Biden the lesser of two evils. But that might just be me. I bet a shit ton of people are pissed off because of these riots.

For some reason people seem to think "the silent majority" means "a sleeping giant"
The silent majority is actually the masses who will do whatever the person in power tells them to. They don't care either way. They will never act no matter what happens to them.
So tired of this meme.

The study is protests make people sympathetic to the protests, riots make people go the other way. Why do you think MLK was so big on non violence? Some nyt fuckbois crunched the data and when a place sees aggressive rioting theres a noticeable and statistically significant swing to the right next election.

Finally some good fucking news

>Why do you think MLK was so big on non violence?

It's about maintaining the image of peaceful innonence no matter what, something a lot of protesters from all factions can't figure out. They're too obviously just wanting violent clashes and their opponent use that for propaganda.

The silent majority just says “fucking NIGGERS” in their head over and over

every election we see how the left is suprised and get more crazy
so what do you think?

in my country nobody i know vote for ANO and nobody ever admit it
and yet they winning every election to the point that even if cuckservatives and libtards join together they still have not enough votes to defeat him

If Biden gets voted in, we'll deserve all the bad shit he'll do.

People said the same shit to me with Hillary. I think this time even the normies can kind of see that he's slipping because there were so many other candidates to compare him to. I doubt any dems that supported Bernie cared when he endorsed Biden, it probably just galvanized them against him even more.

Basically, that's why Republicans tend to do whatever they can to suppress the vote. They have pollsters too and know that the fewer people turn out the better it is for them. They can rely on their most dedicated base(especially elderly) to make the effort though they also tend to focus suppression on the other side.
Closing down voting places in poor areas likely to vote Dem and also not have a car and rely on public transportation so you can conveniently move voting outside that range. Reducing voting hours in such areas so that working class people have to choose between voting or risking their job. Shutting down weekend voting to avoid traditional black church voting organisation. Hiring off duty police to hang around in uniform outside voting places. Gerrymandering so that Dem votes count less, essentially giving themselves extra votes.
With shifting demographics they have to go ever more extreme too in order to stretch and inflate the power of a shrinking base. A smaller and smaller proportion of the population, picked by the politicians, will decide who leads the government.

The silent majority is called the silent majority for a reason. They are not talking about their politics in the open and staying away from discussion but they are watching this chaos and don't want anything to do with it and will vote Trump to stop it instead of Biden who will enable it.

It ties into the idea of populism.
Most "populists" don't actually follow the popular opinion, they just secure a strong base and then lie to that base that secretly they represent the majority. Rather than the majority having the ideals they espouse and largely going with the flow there's a "silent" REAL majority that agrees with all the things you do.

My mother is a lefty and dislikes Trump
The whole defund the police thing is pissing her off
put one of our cousins outta work and she thinks the ideas retarded and asked who will come?
I told her they no longer send police, they send "you good?" guy to check on you
>get violently robbed
>no police
>make call
>guy comes to ask "you good?"
>follows up with "need a ride?"
she asks, what about the stuff that was stolen?
that was an unexpected donation in new world

>They are not talking about their politics in the open and staying away from discussion
>But I know EXACTLY what they all think and it happens to be what I think
I mean, you could be right, but do you see the problem with this sort of logic? Anyone can do this because it's based on nothing more than say-so.

Insightful post and it makes me sad that those measures have to be used in the first place.

LOL, that sounds great 'n all but Trump got half the entire population to vote for him before he did anything for the country. They're called the silent majority because civilized/intelligent people aren't out rioting. They're not dumb enough to put themselves on blast for liberal media and schools to ruin their lives. They vote under the radar and their voices are heard loud and clear. Don't take my word for it though, you'll find out real soon how big the silent majority is come next election. Get rekt.

>Reducing voting hours in such areas so that working class people have to choose between voting or risking their job. Shutting down weekend voting to avoid traditional black church voting organisation.
I dunno, Texas is solidly a red state and has had 3 weeks of early voting for a long time now.

silent majority put Trump in power. You even remember 2016?

>she asks, what about the stuff that was stolen?
>that was an unexpected donation in new world
Honestly not the best example. Realistically most petty theft doesn't get caught and you never get back the stuff that was stolen even if you make a police report, even if the guy actually gets caught later. Likewise police take "mandatory donations" for themselves all the time by confiscating money and property from anywhere within shouting distance of a crime and even without a crime on the justification that if you have a lot of cash on you it must be for something bad.

Everyone thought Trump was going to lose in 2016 since Trump supporters are likely to get banned off social media or hiding their powerlevel.

It’s not real. The idea is that since 80% of people aren’t “liberals” that there is some underwater nationalist, racist, conservative, populist majority being scared into submission.

>There was a silent majority against Mao, Saddam
Were there also elections with secret ballots? I thought not.

Also just, like it's not like trump has shown himself capable of stopping it.
He talks a big game but talk is cheap.

Most people knew he had a good chance. Flipping MI, WI, and PA was impressive as fuck though. No matter what you think of him that was really well done on the part of his campaign.

The silent majority is very real however people who think their twitter time line is a representation of reality tend to get shocked come election time

Consider this, the people who expect Trump voters to lose support over inaction over civil unrest are the same ones who implicitly or explicitly support the civil unrest. How on earth does that compute except in a broken mind.

>grug love woods and work and live from it
>other tribe start set fire woods
>chief Greg not do enough me mad
>now me burn down wood

>The silent majority is actually the masses who will do whatever the person in power tells them to

that is wrong approach to it
almost all media here in my country is critial towards the leading party and want them to be gone and yet they getting only stronger and nobody ever admit that they vote for them

i myself vote for Nationalists and i actualy think that the leading party doing bad job for my country but if you are someone who wants stability and you do not care much about the economy i can see why you would vote for populists like that

I don't know of a single person who voted for Trump who wouldn't crawl through glass to do so again in November. They've tried to cancel our vote from day 1.

Spoke of impeachment before he took office.
Paid for Riots
Muh tax returns
Faithless electors
Abolish electoral college
Unfit to serve
Muh physical results
Over a thousand psychologists
Impeach Fo-tee Fibe!
Obama literally following him around on foreign visits
Mail in votes!
Felons auto registered to vote in FL!
Vote from prison!

Guess what?

Still voting Trump, and I'm bringing five people with me.
