The idea that left is forward and right is back is very ignorant and oversimplified. Left-wing ideals are regressions in many cases, especially social ones. The nuclear family is a technology that was developed over thousands of years, and which provides civilizations with huge advantages. Regressing to a state of pre-industrial hypergamy and undermining the institution of marriage has hurt society in uncountable ways.
It took centuries of study and research to develop theories about mental health and find ways to treat people, which is something the left has completely thrown out. Now, issues like body dysmorphia, sexual dysphoria, and even schizophrenia are enabled and encouraged to extremely harmful degrees.
The number of scientific principles, proven by unbiased evidence, that have been tossed out and rendered verboten by the left is enormous. There's nothing progressive about forbidding research that hurts your feelings and stymieing knowledge.
Left-wing social experiments like Communism, socialism, multiculturalism, Marxism, open borders, mass migration, have all failed spectacularly yet are pushed continuously. What is forward-thinking and progressive about trying to institute failed ideologies from the early 20th century?
Those are just a handful of examples.
I don't argue that the left isn't 'winning', but if you have to mislead the public to make your results look good, and viciously suppress the truth about what your ideology results in, then is that really winning? Your end-goal isn't the betterment of mankind and creating a safer and more prosperous world for all, it's just being right at any cost, even at the expense of people's lives.
