The Black Sun represents what is cast beyond what we can see. The Sun shines light and gives birth to nature and all we can physically see, but the Black Sun represents that which we cannot. It is the yin to the yang, kind of deal.
I like to think of it as representing the collective ideals or traditions of a people, maybe culture. Something which cannot be physically seen, but felt within the hearts of a collective towards an idealistic future.
